Just spent four days hammering Deus Ex Human Revolution with about 5-6 hours sleep in between

I'd say it's a stealth game with a robust combat option. The game's set up to encourage a stealthy style of play, but there are times when the best option is to go loud and kick some ass.
I also like how even on the stealth side there are usually multiple paths, and you can almost, not always but often, find the codes for things floating around, and how it gives you bonus XP for poking around in corners of the map.

Interface wise I still windup accidentally hitting the grenade button when I want the radial. I do like that it uses a two save autosave system and the load dialog give you a choice between the last save, the last auto save, or the next to last autosave.
I love the style though, recognizably cyberpunk (although I suppose transhuman dystopia might be more accurate) with mirror shades and bangers with obvious chrome and lots of neon. But it's also clearly drawn from the modern world and what's twenty minutes in our future then the 'classic' cyberpunk vibe. I also like how the game doesn't prevent or waggle it's finger at you over morality and such, but it still rewards being the discrete good guy slightly better then being a sociopath. Non-lethal is worth slightly more XP then lethal (very slightly), the Ghost and Smooth Operator bonuses (stealth related stuff), etc.
These are all good points. I have to say, I absolutely adore the game, I'm a big fan of the original (part of the reason why I show up here occasionally with screams of SHATTERPUUUUUUUUNK!!!!1111). That said, since I play the original regularly, it doesn't carry the extra nostalgia to me it has to a lot of people, and I can safely say that DXHR is as good, if not better, than one of the best games ever made. If you don't have it, do yourself a favour and get it. Bioware finally has some competition.
Time to get cracking on the Chrome rules, again. They are even more appropriate here than with the nanite based augmentation in the original DX...
Oh, and count me in as a humie for any ME games. Though, with 3 on the horizon, you know you'll want to retool it after, at any rate.

And, as usual, if there is anything I can do to give you a hand, I'll be happy to make empty promises while I wind up slaving on my day job.
