In other news, Space Marine. Anyone interested? Ten zillion different pre-order packages await.

The only pre-order bonus we have available down here is Space Wolves and Black Templars (both at once, not two different preorders).  A buddy of mine played it at a games conference thing he went to for work and said it was a blast, so I definitely wanna get it.  Just not sure if I can afford it release, what with all the amazing other stuff coming out at the same time.  I do want me some Wolves though...

Pre order also gets you shinier armor.

Goichi Suda's got some weird stuff in his skull.

Yeah, when the video game industry, the one that sells:
-Italian plumbers (from Brooklyn) in a kingdom of living mushrooms
-Bunny powered robots that get defeated by a blue hedgehog capable of running really fast
-Uber gore fests with weaponized cars
-Uber gore fests with over-endowed ninja girls
-Non-gore fests with uber-endowed ninja girls
-John Madden
-Bandicoots with fruit launchers
-A linx-like thing going on intergalactic misadventures with his robot pal
-A fox, a rabbit, a falcon, and a frog, flying space fighters, fighting an oversized monkey brain
-A guy with relationship issues needing to climb giant blocks to escape a woman's rear
-and so on...

... decides that the selling point of a guy is how twisted his mind works, then yes, that guy has some weird stuff in his skull.

The Mushroom Kingdom is a -ing scary place.  (If I had some plot in mind beyond "explore the jungle where you have just been dropped," I would run a game there.  Anyone got some ideas?)

Yeah. Jump over a bunch of pipes and fire-breathing plants, then storm the castle, kill dragon-lord Koopa and rescue the Princess. Only problem is the Princess isn't here!

Duh.

Space Wolves are alright, but I'm thinking "Iron Within, Iron Without!" is the direction I'm headed. Emperor's Children are ponces, but the Iron Warriors are the right kind of Chaos.
That or the Golden Bolter. That model's kinda sweet.

And I'll say it, by Jupiter: I'm glad it's the Ultramarines. I like the Ultras. They've got a solid color scheme and are only minimally insane for a Space Marine chapter.
You call them boring, I agree. But they're a good boring. Astartes first, last, only.
No drama, just service.

Matt Ward made me hate the Ultrasmurfs.

I heard a funny thing the other day: GW have decided to 'promote' Matt Ward, meaning he won't be writing any more army books.

Finally!

I hope he's taste-quality manager at a dog-food plant.

Matt Ward tried to make me hate the UMs, but he failed. I'm too olde schoole for those tricks.

He ruined the Grey Knights. So they're all sorcerers, capture daemons in pokeballs and butcher Sororitas, using their blood to cast spells. And their 'supreme' grand master (what is he, a kind of pious pizza?) went into the warp and beat the shit out of the Chaos Gods. Periodically he pops out and kills stuff, then goes back in. He even defeated M'Kachen, the arch-nemesis of another character, and carved his fucking name into his heart.

Rumour is that he co-wrote the new Necrons 'dex. [sarcasm]Imagine my joy.[/sarcasm]

Now see, I'm with you on all that, and don't forget the giant GK Baby Carrier (Dreadknight?) modeling atrocity.
The poor SoBs just get crapped on all over, and Draigo is a horrific idea given worse expression. Plus the addition of them mind-wiping other Marines is just awful.
I rode out the Codex: Ultrasmurfs storm, but I really feel for GK fans.

I like the music from that video, just seems like perfect battle music.

Also, cutest drone ever.   Cheesy
