I'm still sitting on several games I haven't had the time to start (e.g. Deus Ex: Human Revolution)

Just so you (and others) are aware - The Missing Link is on sale for 600 pts (normally 1200) at the moment.  If you're an Xbox gamer it'd be worth grabbing it now for when you do get time to start it.

There's also other Square Enix published stuff (full list - here) on sale.  Mostly Tomb Raider and avatar / theme items, but still nice of them to do a sale of any kind (especially given that this weeks DoTW is pretty lackluster).

I'll finishing my ME1&2 Insanity run tonight (just the suicide mission to go), so I might see if I can get my missing Deus Ex achievements, now that the DLC is on sale (hopefully Pacifist and Foxiest of Hounds work this time).

Console, so no help, sadly. Sad

Thanks much! I'll download it in the morning (I'm answering email from bed and in classic gamer tradition I'm too damned lazy to cross the room to grab my controller). ;P

Yay for banks.
All is well, at last.

Moving on, so SC5 was a bust. Anyone got hopes for Twisted Metal?
Watching the character videos inspires a definite, familiar kind of lust for automotive carnage and nihilistic madness but is David Jaffe involved?
Ah, he is.

What didn't you like about SC5?

The lackluster new characters and the awful story mode, mostly. Losing global parry options and the announcer, too.
The game isn't....compelling at all. I don't care. It isn't fun or engaging. The character creation options are fantastic, but it's grind unlocking them all.
A few pages back I have a more complete rant, but that's the basics of it.
Odds are good I'm going back to EB to resell it for credit towards Twisted Metal.

Rant:

If this Twisted Metal is the same as the original Playstation game where you basically got to play Car Wars either in an arena or on the streets, it should be loads of fun!

Playing STO (Holodeck server).

Fed Tactical (lvl 25) commando/stealth; Akira-class Heavy Escort (tier III)
Klingon Tactical (lvl 21) CQB/melee; Norgh-class Bird of Prey (tier III)

If anyone wants to hit me up for a mission or two, let me know. We can form our own crafty fleet.

Well whadya know? Looks like Bethesda pushed 1.4 onto X-Box as well.

I'll have to give that a whirl at some point and see if I can salvage my first game.

P.S. They also released the Creation Kit this week, for all the modders in the audience.

The hi-res pack is pretty gorgeous too.  I've only seen screenshots - my laptop couldn't run Skyrim with a low-res pack, let along high (being a linux user notwithstanding).  If the current rumours of the next Xbox end up true I think I might end up getting one sooner then later.

Assuming it doesn't go rental only, of course. Wink

Fan of the classic adventure games like Day of Tentacle should check this out. Double fine, the company funded by Tim Schafer's (creator of DoT) is gonna develop a point and click adventure game.

It's a crowdfunding campaing, and i think the most succesful one in Kikctarter, they accomplished the funding goal in less than 8 hours. And have now 1.400.000$ (they needed 400.000$) , almost 40.000 backers and 32 days to go. For 15$ you can get the game on Steam when it's finished.

Check it out!
