Finally got around to playing Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

750 GS points in one playthrough! 300 of which comes from just 3 achievements! Woo!

I didn't get Pacifist or Foxiest of Hounds to pop on my playthrough (though I'm certain I met the criteria for both).  Still, a good excuse for a second playthrough sometime in the future (once I commit to a race / archtype combo and finish the Skyrim).

There's some neat potential prize options in the Deus Ex: HR though, depending on how one decides to nail down chrome (prizes seem the easiest solution, but perhaps not the most genre-fitting).

Also, for those playing Skyrim - unless you are suffering from the bugs the patch specifically fixes, consider skipping this one...

I had to reload when i tazed someone, and he fell - sloooowly - over the edge of a bridge despite an attempt to grab him. Another time I lobbed an EMP grenade at a bot. It blew up and killed a guy stood next to it(!).  Angry I figured out quick that you need to doublecheck *every* body and be prepared to reload at any stage.

That said, I figured that every boss (apart from the last one) can be killed with the same formula: tazer them once to stun them, then throw 3 frag mines at them one after the other. This works on *any* difficulty...

I was thinking the backwards flying dragons might be some kind of acrobatic looping strafe attack.
Nope!
Pretty much just what it says.

Meh, new bugs cropping up is pretty standard fare with patches.  Bethesda isn't the only company to have had problems like that.

Bahahaha.
True.
I haven't seen the disappearing NPC's one yet, and the trophies always load slow, but I'm not that surprised.

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron

So... I haven't played War for Cybertron (anyone out there have any opinions on it?), and this doesn't contain any game footage, but as cinematic trailers go...

Well, damn. that's some mighty fine trailerin'. Wink

So, the newest Bioware game?  Command & Conquer: Generals 2.

I am actully excited by the news.  I have the origional + Zero Hour, and I have many memories of playing co-op against the computer with my dorm mate after classes.
I'm just wondering, if the EU is a faction, then who is the third?  If it was China, then surely they wouldn't have a reason to not announce it.  And, considering what happened in Zero Hour, a US faction actually seems unlikely (strange as that sounds).

Between this and Starcraft II, I really am tempted to upgrade my computer.

That was exceptional.  I'm not sure I'm actually interested in the game itself, but that was a wonderful trailer.

War for Cybertron was really good.. the multiplayer needed better maps.. and dedicated servers.. but.. all in all.. solid game.

FortNite?  I wanna see how that turns out.  It's peeked my interest
Command and Conquer 2?  Can I reserve it now? lol.  2013 though.. Sad
Diablo 3?  50/50 on.  The game play is going to make or break it.

Happily.. SWTOR will keep me occupied til these are out.

(I was secretly hoping a new Alpha Centauri was going to debut at the VGAs.. ah well...)
