Hey, any blokes tried Global Agenda?
It's sci-fi shooterness with MMO elements. It's FTP. It's got "chainguns the size of motorcycles" for the Assault class.
Downloading now, but I'm curious if anyone's got a story to share.

I tried it out a while ago.  I don't recall any complaints.

From Stephen Reid in Twitter:

Another FAQ: those who played in the Nov 11-13 weekend, and general testers, will keep their characters for the upcoming #SWTOR weekend.

Bioware gave Penny Arcade 10,000 SW: The Old Republic beta keys  Let's see how long they last.

I had my key PMd to me on the Bioware forum...  Using it gave me links to two "UNDEFINED"s, so we'll see what happens...  Roll Eyes

In case anyone is confused, if you were in the last Beta round, you are in the next one too.

Actually, its even more inclusive then just the last round.  If you signed up for beta testing at the SWTOR website, prior to 11/11/11, you're in the next big beta weekend.

You only need a code if you never signed up to be a tester prior to that date.   Whether you got in previous or not doesn't matter, everyone is getting into this last one.

I haven't logged on in a while (being rather busy, as you might imagine). Have they gotten to the point when characters will be kept past release? I've gone through a few hard wipes now and while I generally don't mind I'm ready to start building my final toons.

Be damned if I can find the Dev blog.. but I believe after the final Beta test, there will be one final wipe.  After that, early access begins and once you're in the early access portion, no more wipes.  Those characters are permanent.

Correct, All BETA characters will be wiped before launch, which is normal.  Once you're in during early access or later, they are permanent.

..think we can blame Crafty delays on C_P's MMO addiction?  (Totally KIDDING, btw. Wink )

But yeah.. Early Access is slated to be staged 5* day before release.  Those who signed up earliest get 5 days, then 4, 3, 2, 1 etc.  I'm just hoping 1.) Work lets me play on release day. 2.)  ..so does my wife.  The whole.. hey.. I haven't been home in a month.. mind if I play video games?  ..never goes well. lol.

No worries. Smiley

I noted that I haven't been on in a while for a reason. The last thing I need is folks upset that stuff's not done and pointing to my hobbies as the cause. Wink

Full disclosure: I own but still have not touched Skyrim, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Halo: Anniversary, and Dragon Age Ultimate, which I only just got around to buying a few weeks ago.

I haven't even logged on for our weekly Crafty XBox night in almost two months.

Yeah, not a very balanced time in the Kapera household of late.  Cry

But it's for a good cause, so I won't complain. Much.  Grin

Ah, so I have to set aside December 15-20 for the ramp up. Good to know.

Thanks!

Or we could be thankful that you gimp your own life to bring us a great hobby.. but.. to each their own.

Side note:  Why is EVERYONE going Bounty Hunter?  I've had to switch my character planning to Imp. Agent.
