Looks pretty cool.  I am wondering how many discs this game is going to come on at this rate though - might need to grab another 250 gig hdd to have as a dedicated Mass Effect drive.  Of course it's not like my local JB has had my money for the N7 edition since June or anything...

And fairly reasonable comments?  Something is wrong with the internet today.

Apparently anyone complaining that Bioware is making their games less RPG-like and more shooter-like is nothing but a raving lunatic and hater.

Star Wars:  The Old Republic is shaping up nicely.  Apparently there are something like sixteen story "endings" for each class.  I'm a bit fuzzy on that, after Bioware ambushed me with an open bar.  But the head writer is a nice guy.   Smiley

They have stated there is like 200 hours of story for each class.   I have the definite feeling, I'm going to have 1 of every class all the way to  50 at some point.

This five second clip basically sums up how I feel.

A friend got into last weekend's beta.  I was watching him play for a few hours.  I totally agree.

What I've played in the closed betas for the last couple months has been... impressive.

Any chance we can set y'all up a proxy so you can start at the same time?

Or burn down governments until we all can start the MMO on the same day...  (I prefer plan B, but plan A is easier.)

Bioware have reached a position where anything they do will me met with a torrent of whines from gaming hipsters and armchair developers. Happily I'm neither, so I can keep enjoying the stuff they put out.

The new DA2 DLC was good, probably the best one for either DAO or DA2.

Any thoughts on Heroes of Might and Magic 6?

(I refuse to call it Might and Magic Heroes 6. You don't get to change the name and keep it a part of the old series, Ubisoft!  )

So far I like it better than 5, if only because it's significantly faster. It doesn't take days to complete a single map anymore. The dynasty system is a bit of a mixed blessing, though so far it's been more good than bad. The units are interesting (I might try my hand at statting up a couple one of these days) and the fights decently tactical. The character skill/magic tree could be better, has several weak and/or confusing skills, though several are pretty damn sweet.
