I'm leaving for a destination I still don't know

I've been replaying Dragon Age: Origins while I've been sick for the last couple weeks, and I didn't feel that was the case.  Yeah, if DA:O had Jen Hale voicing the female warden my mage would have been female, no question, but I didn't feel alienated because he didn't have a voice.  I guess that's a YMMV thing - I feel no more alienated playing games like Morrowind or Baldur's Gate (original) where it's almost entirely text, I just mentally read the lines in the voice you hear a snippet of.

I find it alienating because being a silent interlocutor in a world where everyone else speaks and as a vocally communicated personality just throws me right out the sense of immersion they're trying to create (especially by forcing a morality scale that affects others on to me)

but the silence is for your imagination, so you can pick the closest option to what you would say. to me that is better for immersion.

Oooh shiny. Hope it sticks reasonably closely to the original story even if the gear does get modernised. OHMSS is one of the classic Bond movies.

OHMSS is one of the classic Bond movies.

It's in my top five in the series, easily.

So, I got a new laptop recently and my friends have roped me into League Of Legends. So far I've gotten pretty good with Cho'Gath (who was free last week and I bought using IP) and Galio (who's free this week and I will probably buy with IP when the week is over).
It's an addictive and interesting game with long lulls that occasionally break out into desparate battles, keeping you on your toes.
Overall, I give it an A.

I like it, but then, I wrote for it, so I'm biased. Wink

(Little known fact - I wrote the VOs for something like a dozen of the champions. So did Alex. Fun project, that.)

It really is hard to compete with Joanna Lumley and Diana Rigg.

It is interesting to see them essentially remake the older movies with Daniel Craig in the lead. Much less offensive than remaking them on the big screen.

Interesting, what other projects have you guys worked on? I've seen a few references around, though I forget them. (or "What have you guys *not* worked on?" Tongue Wink )
