I'm running a PvE Republic guild, y'all are welcome here.  Or you can start up a guild that you want and tell them to join.  (PvE Empire guild, so I have somewhere to go when I roll a Bounty Hunter.)

Is only a cgi "target" video, but something that, if pulled off, could set it apart from other shooters out there.  In a good way, of course.  Wink

Looks really excellent, but 2013 is a little offputting - that's a pretty big wait.

Wondering why no one replied to these and just now realised the forum ate the posts (along with half a dozen others).  So here's the News again (Spoilers are quite possible at these links):

Skyrim Perks
Skyrim Concept Art
Mass Effect 3 beta leaked to Xbox Preview Dashboard
GTA V trailer

And now the Reactions:
Skyrim: Very nice concept art, and some awesome sounding perks too.  Gonna go for my usual Sneak / Archery playthrough first (though with x16 damage sneak attack from daggers, I'm sure I'll throw those into the mix a fair bit too).

ME3: Looks incredible!  That's a very unfinished beta and already looks amazing.  I only skimmed the info because I want to avoid too many spoilers, but I'm looking forward to every part of it - also the classes continued evolution in the threequel looks neat (though I'm not a fan of those Shooter Mode, Story Mode and RPG mode options - they just look bad).

GTAV: Nice to see they're going back to San Andreas (though only a portion of it - Los Santos).  I know the interwebs devolved into a GTA vs Saints Row flame war, but I personally am equally looking forward to both sequels, but for entirely different reasons (I enjoyed GTA4 as much as SR2, but for entirely different reasons).

To each their own.  Since I've been playing CoD since before it was popular to do so, though, I think I'll go with Modern Warfare 3.

i have been playing both since before it was popular to do so. the battlefield formula just does not get old. call of duty did.

Same here, I loved BF2.  CoD just never seemed to cut it for me.    Then again, I play on a PC not PS2/3 or Xbox.

I think what killed CoD for me was the unrealistic, almost cartoon-y perks.  Like.. the sprinter commando... or the billion grenades in a backpack... plus.. BF3 gives me tanks, jets and more people than a southern high school marching band to do war with.

Side note:  They should totally have an award or medal for 7 kills with an EOD bot in a round.

on bc2 they had an achievement for getting a head shot with the repair tool called the dentist. i play mainly on xbox, because that is where most of my friends play. back onto bf3 i had an epic round opening with the little-bird. taking down 2 helicopters before heat-seekers from another took me down.got to close for my flairs to do anything. the more i play bf3 the more i love it. i will be getting skyrim on the PC.

I'm quite okay with this separation.  It allows more people to enjoy the game the way they most prefer.  (I'll be rolling RPG mode.)
