Right now I'm running a 3.5 Al-Qadim game and after FC comes out I will be converting to it.
Most classes in the group are easy (wizard, priest, scout etc.) save for one, the halfing warlock.

He's made of pure awesome and I don't want to tell the player that he can't play a "warlock" anymore.

Will there be anything similar class-wise to the warlock in FC?

I don't have the splat handy, but it's a pseudo caster class which gains it's power via (in 3.5) someone in his family tree making a deal with dark powers.

Mechanically, he's more physical then a sorcerer with, essentially, an ranged attack at will spell like ability and a very small and narrow list of daily "spells" that are largely direct damage and debuff based with a creepy feel.

If memory serves.

Oh, that warlock. I know them Smiley (Al-Qadim reference had me ransacking my mental shelves for a 2nd edition warlock).

Right off hand I'd say the Priest class covers those sorts of deals with other worldly powers/inherited bonds. You just take a set of powers that favors the blast and burn aspect.

So the answer is no.  Sad
The character is not a priest, his power comes from a deal he made with an efreet pasha.
He worships no one.

Funny, I'm pretty sure I just said 'yes'.

Not every character with soldier levels is a soldier. Such a deal could work with the aspect abilities. The faiths that priests use aren't just the servants of this or that diety. They can also include a mode of thought or a pact with a powerful being with no pretense of divinity. let me look over the rest of the class and see if the parallels remain sound, but the sort of limited, themed, and functional spell load bring the class to mind imediately, even if it doesn't bring the class name to mind Smiley.

I still think we can make that work Cool.

You misunderstand, I wanted to know if there is a separate class that is your answer to the warlock.
I will look at the priest but I have doubts if he will be able to represent the warlock.

I know that, I already went through the character ideas of the whole group and there's no problem with converting them to FC, for example the ranger will cease to be a ranger but will become something more fitting to the concept of a wandering swordsman (he's like the prince of persia sans acrobatics).

That's not the concept of the character. He's defined by the dark arts he uses.
Let me describe the character more clearly:
-He's a scholar of the dark arcane arts (spellcraft, knowledge arcana etc.)
-His powers concentrate on damaging the enemy/equipment
-He is quite sneaky but prefers to stand up front and use his unnerving presence (high charisma coupled with ranks in intimidate) to scare the enemy

The class I am looking for him is one that would give him things like detecting magic at will, a bonus to elemental resistance, a singular adjustable ability that would allow him to blast his enemies, a few powers that will allow hm to damage his enemy in a creative way (like shatter his weapons)

He could use the Channeler.  It's a lot more spells than he probably wants/needs, but he can just pick out the ones that fit his style, and the straight line Base Attack lets him stand at the front and slap people down who refuse to feer heem.
