I think what Agent X has going there works great. A paragraph of play advice, a list of synergistic origins, base classes, and feats, some example mission gear for a Cal III mission.

I wish I had something like this when I rebooted my SG-1 game. Smiley

The partner feats rock, the little feature of basics gives me this bizarre image of 2 people fighting off a horde of mooks with just 1 sword between the two of them...

...or gun and add Wolfpack feats to the mix.  Grin

With the Bring it! you can safely wade in to the middle of an enemy horde.
Reminds me of several characters...  Smiley

I will be very interested to see how this class goes over with Fantasy Craft builds. This is IMO the perfect tanking/brick Soldier build, allowing that character to clear out the hordes, suck up tons of damage, and with lots of Taunting, keep all the heat off the spellcasters/non combat characters. I'm going to send this off to the player of our 8th level Ogre Soldier in the FC playtest...I reckon there will be lots of squeeing involved.

Alex, is your avatar a picture of you photoshopped onto Conan the Barbarian's body?

The scientist in my group is really upset by this PDF - he is sorely tempted to take Guts & then a level in OMA, just so he can finally say "I took a level in badass."

Sounds like Agent X has the beginnings of a fan base -- hopefully there'll be enough to persuade his friends to join the party

Sales are off to a good start. We have a number of future options lined up from a variety of authors, so I'm fairly certain we'll see more of Agent X's many faces Cool.

The feat chain didn't really grab me; there's nothing wrong with it, just not for me. The class, on the othe hand... I can't wait to open that particular can of whupass.

Glad to hear it. If there's value in both the feats and the class, I think Agent X should do quite well for itself.

Are all the Agent X going to be about the same length?  Just asking so I know how to file this in the Binder o' Doom.  If they're all this short, I'll just stack them together.

the idea is short and sweet, yes. It's an experiment for us to work in the short form for once Tongue

Will we ever see a gathering of all these PDFs into a book that we can purchase?  Im ok with printing and then putting into a binder, but it'd be sweet to get the whole collection in one fell swoop.

Rules Lawyer Question:

In Partner Basics, part of the text reads: "...any weapons you hold readied..." Is the use of "hold" significant, or can it be any ready weapon, whether or not it is in hand? For example, a character with Knife Basics can count any knife on his person as "readied." Can a partner use one of these "sheathed" knives?
