anderson, was that 1 wound left? i should mention that chris has 13 wounds (con of 13) also, is the dr 1/- negated by the acid or  what i understand if has an ap rating, but i am not sure how that counts against that particular type of dr.

Yeah, it's one wound left -- lovely lovely critical hit with acid really didn't help things, and if it had been anything higher than a 5 for the damage you'd be a puddle of goo. It's also AP (9) -- lacking any other guide line apart from a range of 1 - 20, I simply dropped the threat level of the mission into the empty slot.

where did you get more than 5 total damage? only the crit went into wounds and that was only 5 damage basides the subdual from the paintball. if he only took 5 damage to wounds then he should have 8 wounds left even without dr. even if it doubled in spycraft he would still have three

Check the post with the spoiler in it - in addition to the crit there were 6 more hits dealing 43 damage in the first round + 21 + 10 + 5 + 3 + 1 = 83. Plus the 8 that's a total of 91.

You have 78 vitality and 13 wounds. Oh, that's 91 pts. You're actually unconscious.

ok, in the first round i got hit a total of 7 times, for 17 subdual, +43 to vitality, and 5 to wounds. for a total in the first round of 60, second round i can see going unconcious, it was the first round i was wondering about. since most of the action occured during that time period. at teh end of that i see that according to your post chtris still had 8 wounds and 35 vitallity, 6 points of subdual would have been soaked up by dr. which puts him within his threshhold.you had in your post, no more than i just listed

Christopher charges along the other side of the truck, his path the same as the previous oh so successful attempt.

(click to show/hide)

He charges through the hail of acid pellets and crashes into the furthest turret. Guns firing blindly, its servomotors whine in protest as he digs into its innards and yanks, tearing at tubes and cabling even as the flesh starts to melt from him. At last, though, the machine dies as Chris collapses in a frothing bloody heap, breathing raspily and wracked with pain.

No worries. I was offline for the weekend. By and large, I'm good with any real-life delays just folding into the story. Call 'em pauses, retroactively justify 'em. Whatever. Smiley

Oh, and GC - I'd like to take the moment of Veronica's approach to use mark on Arcade. What are his Search, Notice, and Resolve bonuses?

Oh no!  Cry  Hope the trip's not any more traumatic than it has to be.

i am back, funeral was beautiful, full military honors, on top of the fact he was a mason. the night before his official service his lodge held a service that was quite moving. his brothers eulogy upstaged teh the minister. and the burial was a thing to behold, 9 gun salute and taps.

Foproy:
I didn't post for two weeks -I was having some depression-related derangement, and of course I didn't tell anyone, while being about to do something probably important to everyone.
Namely, discover whether or not Arcade was present in person or not via high-velocity foot.
