I'm leaving for a destination I still don't know

Who's up for a game? I'm looking for 5 or 6 people who don't mind to possibility of dying horribly.

ETA:

Players
  • CraftyPat -- Reverend Love
  • foproy -- Christopher
  • NezMaster -- Dirk
  • Antilles -- Andrew
  • Gatac -- Raymond
  • Valentina -- Veronica

Campaign Qualities
  • Bloodbath -- Each time a player or special character scores a threat with any successful attack, the threat is automatically activated as a critical hit unless the attacker spends 1 action die.
  • Fast Feets -- 1 feat per 2 career levels.
  • Fast Proficiencies -- 1 Interest per 3 career levels.
  • Freelance
  • Gritty — The cost to activate a critical injury inflicted on a player or special character decreases by 1 action die (minimum 0). The range of damage at which a Fortitude save must be made to avoid a critical injury becomes 16–25 (see page 331), and the threshold at which a Fortitude save must be made to avoid dropping to –9 wound points becomes 26+. Finally, the DCs of all Medicine checks increase by 5, and the error ranges of all such checks increase by 2.
  • Paranoid — All special and player characters gain a +4 morale bonus with Blend/Stealth and Sneak/Hide checks made to determine who benefits from a surprise round (see page 323). Further, all characters of any type suffer a –4 morale penalty with skill checks made to shift a target’s disposition or convince a target to take or participate in any action.
  • Violent — The threat ranges of any attack check made by any character — including any NPC — increases by 2.

Gear
  • Standard rules
  • I will be choosing gear picks -- You start with nothing and part of the scenario will be acquring them as well as reacquring your possessions (chosen as normal but which we'll call the stuff you had with you when you were originally arrested).

Characters
  • 6th level
  • Full vitality each level
  • Male or Female
  • Prisoners being transferred essenrially via Con Air

My (preliminary) Inspiration
  • Ghosts of Mars
  • The Running Man
  • Jurassic Park
  • Blake's 7
  • The Five Doctors
  • Pitch Black
  • Mystery Island

I've not yet settled on a scenario, though a few possibilities are coagulating together and as such I am open to suggestion

Well, Resident Evil could be fun; agents tracking down a mysterious disappearance and discover a zombie out in a secluded location. But I'd prefer full on zombie outbreak with a band of everyday people trying to survive and escape an over populated city.

I'm in. I like spycraft because your characters don't seem to be everyday people though, but beyond that whatever works out. First level I presume?

Only the best of everyday people can survive a zombie outbreak.

Survival horror, you say? I'm in, no matter what setting/power level you settle on.

There may be dinosaurs.

Dinosaurs, you say? Hmmm.... I'm thinking an overworked research scientist who likes to relax by shooting small animals... Scientist 3/Scout maybe? Well, it's a starting point, something to build a character around... unless you want to use Back to Basics. I don't mind either way.

Sounds cool, I'd be interested. Thinking about an Intruder build...every dramatically trapped team of people needs someone who's in it for the money and not supposed to be there.

ack..hope gatac and I don't bounce..I'm not exactly your sneaky Intruder type though, and I'm not in it for the money. He's in it cause he's crazy.

Anderson mention alot of dying. I figured I'd take a fair shot at going first Smiley

Current thoughts:
Daring Gymnast (if WOF spec is allowed): Intruder 3/Wheelman 1/Stuntman 1;

An intruder with very little (no?) sneak, a wheelman with very little mechanics..stuntman all the way..

That's of course a rough idea, before campaign qualities, restrictions, and other characters come in.

Wow, I was thinking intruder who was only in it for the money (and jewelry) or wheelman/stuntman who though the chance to run/jump/climb from zombies was a gift from heaven. Survival Horror game full of criminals and sociopaths, who can you trust? This could be very interesting......Very interesting indeed. And selocoraptors! Somebody tell the xkcd guy, he needs to get in on this!

Right now I'm feeling mafia lieutenant, with anger issues, he goes into a bar and five minutes later sailors come running out. I'll do my best to avoid party fratricide.  Grin Come on Alex, I want 10kB and my Goodfella expert class.

A downed prison transport of some kind as a source of PCs does sound intriguing...

Any campaign qualities we should be aware of before we start building characters?
