I am running a Spycrafted Delta Green, there are Star Wars, Star Trek, and Fallout games that folks have been running. I am sure that someone out there has done a setting with a British secret agent who prefers his vodka martinis shaken not stirred. I recall mention of both Ghost Busters and Men in Black from the old forums.

What other non-Crafty settings deserve a look? I am going to glance at the old GDW games -

There is a temptation to do Twilight 2000 - The Last Submarine series in particular would make for a full campaign. One of the two easiest to work into a Spycraft game.

Perhaps 2300 AD would work as well. Though trying to model the starship combat system with Spycraft might be a bit of a chore. Shatterpunk might make the cyberpunk aspects of the setting a bit easier.

Dark Conspiracy would be downright easy.

Space: 1889, I guess that I am running something that bears a very faint resemblance, probably just as well I did not think of Space: 1889 when I was working on my own 1880s setting... I have grown fond of it.

Traveller.... when Farthest Star comes out, then maybe. When Traveller the New Era came out I actually had more fun with Fire Fusion & Steel then I did with the Third Imperium setting and its aftermath.

Technically Stargate SG-1 is a non-Crafty setting.

I've written, and run, an Ultraviolet campaign in the past (based on the British TV series, not the film).

I started working on a Judge Dredd conversion, an Iron Kingdoms conversion and though it doesn't really count I started creating characters for each of the Hasslefree miniatures zombie hunters, trying to work in the very very very sparse background posted up in threads on that forum.

I'm actually looking at implementing a 2300AD game. They released an updated version, 2320 that is set 20 years or so past the old game. It uses the Traveller 20 (T20) ruleset but much of if converts over rather well. I'm having to add and match skills to get them to work out.

The biggest challenge as of yet is the Starship stuff. I don't know how I'm going to do that yet.

Twilight looks good for a campaign, I also looked at the Last Submarine.
Also the Iranian campaign looked fun (more gas, choppers, SAS-style desert raiders...).

Been planning to convert some stuff from old Twilight 2.0 books to SC (mainly vehicles).

As mentioned in a previous thread, I am peppering my World on Fire game with Dark Matter (with a bit of an Xcom bent.)

I heard of a Spycraft RIFTS conversion over on RPGnet.

Another conversion that I toy with now and a gain is Swashbuckling Adventures. Why AEG did not work more elements of Spycraft 1 into Swashbuckling Adventures I may never know - they would have fit so well....

And I like the idea of an espionage game set in the period. (For those of an historical bent - John Dee was one of the people working for Queen Elizabeth I in regards to espionage. His number was 7 - the urge to have him show up and say 'My name's Dee, John Dee'....)

I ran an A-team inspired game which went well, they were the *cough*-Team. One great opportunity of NPCs having damage saves is I just made every failed save 'passing out' pretty much regardless of the damage that was dealt Wink

It just wouldn't be the A-Team if too many bad guys died.

Hmmm, continuing to toy with the idea of a post apocalyptic setting, most likely T:2000 at this point.

How cartoony do most people make their PA worlds? T:2000 is not cartoony at all, neither is Morrow Project. Darwin's World has a bit of cartooniness, Gamma World (new) a little bit more, and Gamma World (old) is Loony Toons. After the Bomb really does not count, since it is based on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Fallout has some mutant critters running around, but I think the old Gamma World has the edge. I think that I will pass on the upright rabbits with laser guns, but a friend fills his game with all sorts of mutant critters.

What do most people go with?

Although not a Spycraft campaign, I did incorporate a lot of Spycraft v1 rules into the Swashbuckling Adventures campaign that I ran a couple of years ago.

I've been toying with the idea of running a pirate campaign using Skull & Bones with Spycraft v1 elements. Unfortunately I don't have the time to firm it all out Sad

I was gonna buy Darwin's World this weekend to convert over to Spycraft 2.0.  It looks like it would be alot of fun to play.

I love taking all the gonzo insanity from Over the Edge and making it all crunchy with SpyCraft.

Oh, and anytime I evaluate a game to see if it's any good at all, I ask myself: "Can it do Airwolf?"

Heh... there you go.

I always though Al Amarja was pretty cool (if unlikely), but the OTE system left me with a bad taste in my mouth for the rules-vacuous nature of the thing. Bleh.
