A reverse of the earlier thread... ("Everyone" can include the obscene amount of critics who will sell their soul just so that they can get their words on a DVD cover).

Mine: The Godfather series. Maybe I'm just not refined enough to appreciate them, but I've seen them once and I have no interest in watching them again.

While on the subject of movies that don't go anywhere: "No Country for Old Men" (The best bits were with Tommy Lee Jones) and "There Will Be Blood".

Passion of the Christ (big box office)... I felt like Stan and Kenny from South Park... I wanted my money back. I do have one scene that I liked, it was when Jesus and his mother were talking about the table.

The Royal Tannenbaums, I ♥ Huckabies, The Life Aquatic, Lost in Translation, Napoleon Dynamite, Rushmore... pretty much the whole "unfunny comedy" genre.

Ooooh!  ThunderMonkey.  You a genius.  Let's see....

Indiana Jones.  The entire line.  2 was tolerable, but other than that, pass.
Star Wars.  All 6 episodes.  I liked the premise of Star Wars, but always felt like it was lacking.. something.
LOTR:ROTK.  I loved the movie.. right up until the 93 minute ending.  Killed me.
No Country for Old Men.
Sin City.
Wall-E.  ...wayyyyy too cutsie for my blood.

Citizen Kane. How the hell did that piece of crap get labeled the best movie ever?

There are so many... I'll start with Gladiator. Great score but otherwise it has precisely nothing to offer me.

Wow. I loved Ratatouille (but then, it's Brad Bird, so that's no surprise).

The thing about Gladiator is, even though it was a god awful piece of trash, it was the best thing released in all of 2000.  That year was a wasteland for movies. Lets see what else was released; Mission Impossible 2, Meet the Parents, How the Grinch Stole Christmas. That covers the movies I hate that everyone else likes, Tom Cruise movies, Ben Stilier movies, Robert De Niro (throw in Christopher Walken) comedies, and Mike Myer movies.

Wait, Jim Carrey was in The Grinch not Mike Meyers. Doesn't matter, neither of them are funny.

I became disinfranchised with the Oscars because "Gladiator" won best picture. No one I've met, thus far, has given me a compelling arguement on how "Gladiator" is superior to "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon". In terms of acting, story, cinematography and scope CTHD is simply a better film and it holds better with repeated viewings. I'll watch "Gladiator" up until they have the first big fight in Rome and then I quit paying attention at that point.

Speaking of "How did this get an Oscar?": Titanic.

Just...Titanic.

I couldn't get past the skull-splitting opening fight. Just too much motion, none of it visually decipherable as more than a blur. Blech.
