I'm seeing movies that are fairly unheard of, none that draw the ire of anyone I know.  (But it is nice to see I'm not the only one that loved Flight of the Navigator, even if I haven't seen it in 15 years.)

I really like Down Periscope.  I used to pull that one out and watch it all the time and now that I think about it, maybe I will again.

The on I really like but I have seen bashed many times (especially on these boards) is Wild Wild West.

Another one.

The Saint with Val Kilmer. (even though I still prefer the TV show with Roger, it was nice having him as the radio anouncer at the end)

Compliance!

Two more movies.
Don't Mess with the Zohan (I've gotten so much flak for this one.)
House of the Dead (One of those.. LOL! This is so bad I can't not watch it.)

The Saint is a short arm's reach from my seat at my desk to the DVD player.

More to add:

"Mystery Men"
"The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai"
"Airborne" (with Seth Green and Jack Black in minor roles)
"D.E.B.S." (this one is more of a guilty pleasure)
"Brotherhood of the Wolf"

I've never heard of anyone hating Brotherhood of the Wolf ...

Airborne is one of those movies I caught and sort of enjoy. Besides, Jack Black and Seth Green, it also has Jacob Vargas in it as well as Snake.

I've met a few, and they keep bringing it up whenever I recommend a movie to them.

I'd add Waterworld and Sgt. Bilko to my list, along with many of the movies listed already.

I think this thread is proving that there is a bit of a disconnect between what is commerically viable or loved by critics and what people watch because they actually enjoy seeing on screen.
