Does anyone know when it will start again?

July 10

They aired a commercial for it during the In Plain Sight premiere (turns out that show's well worth your time as well, BTW).

They've been replaying Season 1 on Thursdays too.  I"m sorry I missed it the first time around, actually kind of fun.

From the talk, I plan to pick up the DVD set when it comes out in July (I think).

Thanks Pat!

I don't have cable and my friend who does isn't really interested in watching it although he would be willing to record it for me on his DVR when it starts up again.

The thing that makes it work is a combination of the interior dialogue (like Magnum and MacGyver) and the sense of humor plus his delivery (a lot like Magnum as well).

I'll be getting the box set myself especially after hearing Jeffrey Donovan make the statement "We need the humor otherwise my character is just remorseless killing machine."

I think that's why I like the show.  The conversation with the audience just added something, I'm suprised more shows don't do it but I think it only works for certain things I guess

I think too that it only works for so long (the conversations with the audience).  Sooner or later, we're going to run low on new and interesting "Tradecraft tips from Mike", and it'll be interesting to see how the monologuing changes to accomodate that.  More personal reflection from Mike?  Maybe, but we'll see.

Personally, I'd love to get some episodes in that let Fiona or Sam provide the inner voice (you know you'd grin as soon as you heard Bruce Campbell's voiceover start with "When you're working with dirtbags, you've got to remember three things.").  Too many episodes like this could probably be lame, but just a couple--that could be a hoot.

To take Gentry's ball and run with it... an episode where everyone is providing the monologue (maybe even the mother) and they swap between characters to highlight how each sees a situation differently and for added comic effect.

I can see a few of Bruce's monologues devolving into thinking about the hot gal walking past, or where he can find another Bloody Mary-in-a-can.

All the way through the In Plain Sight premiere - which also features heavy internal monologue narration - I kept wondering if this was some new corporate initiative on the part of the network.

The narrative works with Burn Notice, so I can understand why they're sticking with it. After watching the In Plain Sight premiere, I think it will work there as well.

I think it requires a character that is at least likable with some sense of good natured humor. MacGyver was really the exception but then we needed to know what effect he was hoping to produce with what he was doing. Makes you wonder how many people got interested in physics after watching the show.

Picked up and watched the first season.  Very good.  I like everything about the show.  Considering how things were left it shall be interesting to see the second season.  Unfortunately, I'll have to wait for the release on DVD since it isn't carried on any Canadian stations that I can find.

I wonder if you can catch the episodes on video stream at the USA website, after their air date.
