Do the benefits of the Horse Nation/Noble feats apply, for instance, if you're riding a motorcycle?

I don't believe they inherently do but in a home game you can make them do that. ... An Elf riding a Harley just does not seem right.

But riding a Kawasaki Ninja does seem quite right.  (And frankly, there is something about some petite elf chick guiding some huge hawg that radiates hawtness.)

I believe the feat specifies mount, but doing a modern take that swaps "personal vehicle" for "mount" seems fair and equitable.

My thought exactly

Well, not *exactly*. The exact is that she's a Horse Nation Elf Playgirl whose Personal Lieutenant has the Proteus Device (Motorcycle) gadget with themself as the housing...

Doesn't Elf Playboy loose Personal Lieutenant?

EDIT: Gah... I can't type or speak English properly today...

I had also realised this.

However, the GC can chose to change the specialty list to something befitting a modern setting.

Or you could throw in the Achilles Heel (Iron) quality and expand the list by another six specialties.

Even by a very literal reading, you still gain some of the benefits of the feats.  Plus street jousting on performance crotch rockets with the Horse Noble feat sounds kinda cool.

I don't think you'd really lose anything by allowing the benefits to apply, after all, what is a motorcycle but an iron horse.

Oh and for the Personal Lt. who transforms, does the Personal Lt. count as a mount to start with?  Transformation aside, can you have a Personal Lt. that is by the books, a Mount, ideally without fudging?  Cuz it makes sense for paladins and knights with a bonded steed.

Of course, my first thought was to a bike from Shadowrun that I think ever character I had used.  Although the Orks seem to always have a hawg.

But, in reading the feat, it would to work, nothing that you would really need to adjust from what I can tell.  In a shatterpunk type world it almost seems natural

Maaaaybe, if the personal lieutenant is from a species that might allow being ridden, like a centaur. If you want an animal, then it's animal partner.

What, it's more of an Orcish vehicle?  Tongue

When I was play Shadowrun, yes.  Elves usually had the Yamaha Rapier(SR crotch rocket) and the Orks and Trolls generally had the Harley Scropion.   Ahh, fond memories.... <OT> I WANT SHATTERPUNK </OT>

Another thing - I don't get where the electrical resistance and then electrical damage comes from. It's totally out of left field, and as a player I think I'd prefer to get another favoured class, or more unrestricted specialties,  instead
