It's also the name of an important even on the same day in the World on Fire setting.

Specificaly, the day an assassin known only as the Triggerman makes a single victim every year.

I am excited and someone from TheAgencyStar is actually creating a poster for this day to put up at some stores when it gets a little closer to the day.  I think it will encompass "The Day of the Bullet" pic and so on.

In case you haven't already done so, it might be polite to ask permission for use of this art. Just sayin'.

I wouldn't do anything without asking first.  She is only templating it out.  Do you know who to ask about using the day of the bullet pic?  Anyone?

I will make an announcement on TheAgencyStar’s website about the now existence of this special day which I know will generate waves of celebration and mega brainstorming.

I know you don't mean that to be funny but the way that's worded gave me a chuckle. I think I involuntarily added some sarcasm (which, again, I know wasn't intended).  Tongue

I know there will be a bunch of ideas in the works for what TheAgencyStar may be doing to celebrate this day.  Personally, I know there will be a “extra special” mission created and played during this time that I have had in the closet for a long time.  I may run it for new gamers to Spycraft at one on my local gaming stores as well.

Well, depending on how things go, Crafty could theoretically make some noise with this - show off what people are doing and where. Draw attention for everyone. Smiley

Anyway, I am very excited and can see this day as a great way to expand the interest in Spycraft to new gamers and give an opportunity to have fun for existing gamers that has already played Spycraft.

Absolutely. Anyone who wants to chime in or help out, please step up.

Awesome to see movement on the mission front! I imagine that they can wind up hosted on AgencyStar and our Downloads page after they're out (as you guys prefer).

The Day of the Bullet will be fully detailed in the World on Fire PDFs but it's a fairly open-ended plot so anything you come up with should slot in nicely. The original storyline will be resolved by the present day but I've intentionally set it up so the assassinations continue and folks can adapt the idea for their games as they like.

For myself, I'm thinking this could stand to get spun into a new thread, or even it's own mini-forum in the R&D section.  That'd make for a nice place to load stuff and keep it all in one spot.

As I think about it, it might be nice to have more then one FC mission. One Wyrmstone "official" mission and one or more set in the other settings.

Thanks Pat.  That would be awesome.  I know she will do Crafty justice with what she is designing. (Otherwise I may have to get a new girlfriend)  Wink

The creation of a mission for this day and hosting later on TheAgencyStar and Crafty would be the iceing on the cake.  I only had a couple of questions from those from the Crafty community that wanted to create this "Official" Spycraft Day mission.

1. Will it be a takeoff from "The Day Of The Bullet" storyline?  and if so, where would a team fit into it?
  a.) Stop the assasination
b.) Find and locate the Triggerman
c.) Other ideas, [insert mission Plot here]

2.  Pregenerated Characters designed as well?  What level would be a good level for pregens?

3.  Format of mission design or look, feel, template?

Just throwing some stuff out there to see what everyone thought and see if we could really structure designing a Mission for this day and who would be willing to take on some of the work in creating, writing, proofing and so on.

Highest Level LSpy Agent 16th, almost 17th

I think 4th level is ideal for low level pregencharacters as the classes are just starting to get really interesting and they can do quite a bit.

Depends on how familiar everyone is with the crunch and the movies we draw on.  It was a while before I figured out how awesome stand offs are.

If they're new to Spycraft, 4th or 5th level is good.  If they've been playing for a while, maybe 12th level?

I think there should be a ten level separation. So 4th for low levels and 14th for high levels or 5th and 15th.

"For those of you who have been sampling the Crafty vintage for some time, we highly recommend this batch of pregens of accelerated level."

It might also be worthwhile for those pregens to show off some of the PDF hotness as well. Advanced actions and tricks from PmP, toys from the BFoGs, maybe even a set of Basic classed ones.

I'm mostly throwing out ideas here, but I'm more then willing to do some char gen or mission design once things get rolling.

If this is to really take shape, I think the first thing is to establish what kind of mission and/or backstory (Day of the bullet startup mission or soemthing else) first.  NPC's can then be designed around what kind of mission it is.  I wouldn't send a Advocate on a Military assault mission for example.  Wink

I personally (and only my opinion) would go for "The Day Of The Bullet" continuation mission where "The Agency" has known about "The Triggerman" [insert backstory from Living Spycarft here] and has found out that his next victum is [insert new NPC plot hook here].  You mission is to [insert pre-gen characters here] stop the assasination attempt at all costs.  Simple and easily enough to play in a 1-shot mission.
