I was checking IMDb on Friday (I think) to see which celebs were having a birthday (I'm nerdy like that) and was a little shocked to see the first name on the list was Heath Ledger. The way IMDb runs things, if the person is deceased then they print the age they would have turned along with their birth year and death year.

As I flicked through the list I saw that most of the people also born on that day were also dead. Okay, so most of them were famous back in the 30's and 40's, but it was still a little morbid.

Seriously, WTF? Not only is this in fairly bad taste - "Finally! The Old Man's dead! Let's piss on his grave! Hand me his gun! I wanna dribble through the barrel." - but... it's fuckin' Ben Hur. I mean, really. What the hell are they gonna remake next? Citizen Kane? Casablanca? Nosferatu?

They did remake Casablanca... into a TV show (featured Hector Elizondo as the captain and Ray Liotta as the bartender)... there was also a 1955 series.
