SC2- DownFall Character thread

Reese

"Right behind you sweet cheeks" Hayden replies as he follows buck into the room looking out for anything that might want to jump out and create any form of discomfort to any of his colleagues or himself.

  Mitchell watched Hart and Davis enter the room,  in his vision he sees another hallway, he can smell smoke, heat, he can feel the rifle in his hands. his head turns beck down the hall he sees Davis with a machine gun, the same reckless smirk on her face, he hears her voice, "I've got your back boss".
  Snapping back to the present, he mumbles "I've got your back".  He can still feel a rifle in his hands even though there is none there. 
  A quick search shows nothing in either of the rooms except dust.  The teams move on to the next rooms.

Buck

Despite the pissing contest, Buck and Reese both clearly know what they're doing, searching room to room like trained killers -- which, conveniently, they are.

Davis

"Well, this one is clear, next in line then?" *sets the makeshift club on her shoulder*

The next set of rooms are also empty.  Who is going to do the initial entry on the next two rooms. Also which group is taking which room.

(OCC Bill, Doctor Flint finds ID and another weapon.  Since we are fixing to unify the groups you can post here instead of Email.)

"we'll take the side of the hall where my room was you all take the other. then i think we should meet up back out here and discuss what to do next."

Doctor Flint

Doctor Flint pockets the ID and holsters the new weapon he found while keeping the previous one still readied.

I'll look at these some more once I  get somewhere lit.

Then picking up the syringe, in his other hand, he continues his way up the stairs, doing his best to not make any noise as he continues on his trek.

It isn't far now.  God help us if that thing wandering around finds them before I do.

(OOC: I am assuming the weapon I found is also a pistol.  If it isn't, I'll stow it whatever way I can before continuing on.  Also, for the record, I went ahead and rolled my Sneak/Hide check approaching this area and it is a whopping 8!)

*exits the room and heads to the next room* "Anyone else feel stiff?" *works her arms still trying to loosen them up*

John Hart

Hart glances for a moment towards Davis working her arms before nodding in sympathy and concentrates on searching again. "Spent a good five minutes working out the kinks after I woke up, so I'm not feeling too bad. 'course, wouldn't say no to some food, a shower, seeing sunshine again..."

  Reese and Buck make their entry into the room selected.  It is also empty but a search finds an old LED tactical light in a drawer, also found with it is a six pack of 123 type batteries.

  Just as Mitchell, Davis and hart are about to make their entry they hear a loud noise from the nearby stairwell.

Doctor Flint

Flint curses inwardly to himself and resists the urge to kick the clipboard that he stumbled over across the room.  Then he presses himself against the darkest corner of the area and holds his breath.  He knows he heard something down here, but he had hoped to see what the situation was before entering the corridor.

Tucked away in the dark, he listens intently for a response to his clumsiness, tensed to spring down the stairs at the first sign of trouble.

Davis

*Her head whips to the direction of the sound, looking between her back up she whispers* "I'm going to check that out, one of you stay hidden around the corner." *indicates bat* "I'm goin' old school on this one...." Where the hell did that come from?

  Mitchell

  Across Mitchell's memory more images flit, "Reese back her up, I wnat whatever or who ever alive if possible."   He moves his hand to activate something he does not have, then stops and though he cannot expalin it he snaps his fingers in an odd pattern,  Buck and Reese hear the cliks even though they did not hear the noise from the stairs, they automatically freezeand take what ever cover is available.  Suprizingly eventhough the situation just got tense none of the troops pulses even seem to flicker, they remain perfectly calm, though they feel their bodies respond naturally, and their senses seem to get very sensitive, far more than seems natural. As davis moves towards the door she can pratically count the dust motes in the air as she passes.

Doctor Flint

The silence becomes deafening for Flint and he can hear his own heartbeat in his ears.  Part of his mind wants to panic, run and get out of there through any means possible, but another part, the part trained to be analytical, rapidly runs through his options.

I have two options.  Back down the stairs or through this door.  Ok, what do I know, what are the facts.  One, something downstairs most likely wants to kill me.  Two, the only people who may be able to help me, are either in, or just beyond, this corridor.  Three if something has already gotten to them, then I am surrounded and my decision here is largely moot.  My best course of action, then, is to continue with my original plan.

Then, shoring up his resolve once more, he moves up against the wall besides the door.  Flint then gives it two quick knocks and pushes it open before softly calling, "Hello...is anyone there?"

Hayden inches his way out of the room as he hears "hello... is anyone here," coming from the direction or the door. He darts to the far wall and moves as fast and silently as possible to the corner next to the stairs ready to pounce should the need arise.
