You sure this wasn't intended for the demotivator thread?  Or is brain just overrun with half-dragon pech lancers on dinosaurs? Cheesy

Considering the license plate, I'd say Death Bus VI.  Alex's baby still holds the position of Death Bus 10,000. Wink

*Notices that Fantasycraft has gone back to July on the Mongoose webpage...

I may well be jumping the gun here but if you have news that will dissapoint your fans I believe it would be better to make a tough anouncement asap than f*** around with cartoons.

I truly hope that I AM mistaken and that I AM over reacting.

No need for an announcement because we've never given a release date - and we won't until we're confident that it's a lock. As we've said before, the Mongoose site is automated and has to put dates up way before we can be sure of them. Anything listed there is inaccurate unless it's also listed in our product section.

Right now, the only thing we're certain of is that the book won't be available at Origins. We're shooting for GenCon, but we're not going to commit to that until we're sure.

1) Never believe the Mongoose page. We have consistently said this since last year. Still holds true.

2) The cartoon is a statement of project pace, not that we're starting it. Besides, we're allowed to have fun if we want to.

Suffice to say...listen to Pat.

Gen Con, huh?  I'll admit I'd been hoping for earlier.  Having already abandoned D&D if I wait till GenCon it will be the longest stretch in over 15 years that I haven't been running or playing some type of fantasy rpg.  I may have to start up a GURPS or Fantasy Hero game to tide me over (I might even have to pull out Swordbearer).

Thank you for your swift replies.

Yes I am dissapointed to hear it won't be availible as soon as I hoped.

Yes I am a bit sorry that I had to hear that fact "this way."

I wish the entire team the best with this project. Your Crafty stuff is just SO GOOD and I know that myself and many others will be supporting you every step of the way.

Thanks for the compliment! We're extremely happy that you dig our stuff. Smiley

Sorry that you're unhappy with the way you're getting information, though we're not sure how it can happen differently. We made it public months ago that we would not be offering release dates until they're locked at our end, and when the topic of release date came up we answered to the best of our ability on the same day. Unfortunately, Mongoose's automated system requires release dates, so we have to pretty much ignore them - and ask that you do the same until this site says otherwise.
