Well didn't you know 4e Goblins breed by budding, like fungus?  They don't have hurty-bits to hurt on a guulvorg.

Are they GW Orks now?  (Not quite, the Orks grow up from squigs or some other little thing, but they're basically sentient fungus and there are no females.)

[GW = Games Workshop, or Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000 fame.]

Well they needed some way of getting rid of Half-Orcs and the thorny crimes against demi-humanity their linage requires in most campaign worlds.

Please tell me it's a joke, because if not then WotC will place itself on a pedestal for being as uncreative as you can be.

Even if they have no "Hurty-bits" they would have very sore rear ends after riding one of them.  Tongue

Maybe the goblins just impale themselves on the spikes and stay there until their shamans cast their healing spells, then the goblins and worgs would be fused as one.  It would also explain the nasty disposition worg-riders usually have.

Heh.  Yes, I was joking.  I suppose I should be sad that anyone thought I was serious.  Still, I claim the dubious honor of prompting nearly a page of forum discussion on "hurty-bits".   Cool

To paraphrase a certain guy:
"Shame on you Mr. Gentry!"

After what WotC did to D&D in 4ed I wouldn't be surprised to see genderless iconic monsters.

Its probably just me, but I find the idea of a big wolf somewhat more scary than that emaciated scaley/spiney thing.

Then again, I thought the boars in Princess Mononoke utterly terrifying. Intelligent(!!) boars the size of rhinos... in war-paint.

Last of the art for the Sunchasser setting came in today. I'm in love all over again. That setting just feels bright and verdant. Its a place where champions will rise and heroes will shine. Looking forward to sharing it with you Grin.

So heroes in Sunchaser die from an arrow to the gut as they ride off into the sunset with small children calling their names?  Cry

I'm sure if Hasbro/WotC thought they could get away with it we might. Monsters all reproducing via some asexual means does solve the question of genocide by PCs.

Typo (now fixed), but amusingly appropriate Tongue.

It will certainly make Farthest Star interesting. The humans there are mildly xenophobic, viciously territorial, and pretty darn up front about it. They fully expect to dominate the galaxy one day, or possibly meet something that plows them under just as thoroughly as they have several other races they've bumped into. But at least its honest.
