Look at it this way, the move to the US printers, may mean faster distribution (for those of us Stateside at least).

Might this be the reason my copy of WoF has been on backorder for three weeks? I'm not in a huge rush to get it, but I would like to see it soon. I already have the PDF, I just want the book handy for actually running a game.

Quite possibly.

I hope so, I've had mine on order for a month or more so far.

Well, hopefully this means that there won't be binding issues with the ones we recieve.  My FLGS doesn't like having to return merchandise, especially multiple times. Of course I wonder how a smaller company like Green Ronin can produce full color books at a reasonable price and at high quality, and mongoose, which seems to be of similar size, can't. I might be totally wrong on this, so feel free to correct me.

One of the reasons mine stopped ordering Mongoose books including Spycraft.

It depends a lot on what sort of deal the company can work out with a printer combined with desired (or demanded) profit margins, order size, distribution, warehousing, inventory costs and a number of other factors. Really, the issue is similar to the discussion from a few months back about a SP being black and white and not color.

Hopefully that will change with the new system. We'll get details out as soon as we can.

I couldn't care less, they recently blew it big on a GURPS order I made, so I'm good with other shops.
Is there any other european internet shop that sells SC without charging you your left arm and right leg?

If you don't mind me asking, what's the store? I ask not because of the GURPS thing but because we like to keep track of who's supporting Spycraft and who isn't.

www.dragonworld.de

A few months back they informed about not accepting orders on mongoose products and they also stopped offering SC 2.0

It's a pity because for me they were one of the best shops around, were.

Leisure Games seem to have a good reputation with European customers (and I can vouch for Angus, the guy who runs it - and the Dragonmeet convention held in London each December Wink) If you order from him, let him know that dpmcalister from UK Role Players pointed you in his direction Cheesy

I'm lost Sad

I'm new to the forum and spycraft 2.0 second printing.....  I just got my copy of spycraft 2.0  from Barns & Noble....  But I think I have the one of the books with the screwed up binding.  Dose anyone have a pic of what the screwed up bindings look like compared to the fixed bindings.

Side note....  Barns and Nobles didn't have the book in stock,  they had to order it for me.  I use to call them every few months for the past 2 years asking if they had the book and they would always say no lol.  Finally they asked me if I wanted them to order it for me (after 2 years of looking lol) I said "HELL YES!!!!" now I'm happy I have a copy of the book but sad that it maybe one of the defected ones.  So someone help me understand this, my brain hurts.

There are two things to look for to determine if you have a new printing.

First, look at the spine from above or below. The spine on the newer printing is curved, like a text book. The older printing is square. The new printing is also a proper hardbound book so, because of the number of pages, it has a few blank leaves in the back. The old printing is a cardboard article (it's a perfect bound book with a hard cover) that was run off a print on demand machine, so it has no blank leaves.

Why is it that "proper hardbound books" have those couple of blank pages in back?
