So... How'd I do?

Oh, I never said I'd verify theories. ;)

Loved reading them! Highly entertaining.

Isn't it though?

If we're talking epic tracks from X-Men: First Class, then you really can't go beyond Threshold's Half the Man, the music used for the trailer.

Bastion was on sale on the Xbox Marketplace earlier this month, which gave me an excuse to pick it up (plus I had a spare 10er).  As a game I highly recommend it - it's great fun, has beautiful art, and a neat storyline with a fantasy delivery.  On top of that, the tunes are brillaint - I've added a few tracks to a couple of my playlists (a first for a videogame tune, as far as I can remember).

Here's a couple I particularly liked (I actually stopped moving in game just to listen to Zia's Theme):
Mother, I'm Here (Zulf's Theme)
Build That Wall (Zia's Theme)
Setting Sail, Coming Home (End Theme - a combination of the two above songs and (IMO) better then the sum of it's parts)

EDIT: Oh: Dead Man's Gun.  Not sure if it was written for Red Dead Redemption, but I only heard it because of it and the song is fantastic.

I am embarrassed to admit that I already knew The Fellow That Plays The Trombone, decades before a steampunk version came out. (Be warned, gentle reader, the song is not safe for work.)

The Auld Grump, along with 'Don't Go In The Lion's Cage, Dear Mother', and 'The Salvation Army Lassy'....
I don't know how the story ends...

I don't know why, but I've listened to this song like three times in the last two days.

It is hard to wrong with Turisas or Alestorm.  One More and Sunk'n Norwegian respectively are great songs.

Gah... I'm a very bad fan it seems.

Luckily I ran into an fraternity brother at a wedding who informed be that not only did the Bosstones release second post hiatus studio disc back in December but there were touring this summer with a date in Philly.

Of course he didn't know about the B-side collection or the first studio album they put out post hiatus, so I suppose we're even.

The nifty thing is I had bought tickets to the show and the new album before the appetizers and had the whole thing downloaded to my phone by the time the drive home came around. :)

The schedule for anyone interested:

Aug 03   Hampton Beach, NH  Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom
Aug 04   Philadelphia, PA    Trocadero
Aug 06   New York, NY            Webster Hall
Aug 07   Washington, DC    9:30 Club
Aug 09   Buffalo, NY            Thursday at the Harbor
Aug 10   Chicago, IL            Metro
Aug 11   Minneapolis, MN    First Avenue

Buffalo's a free show, the rest are on Ticket Fly.
