Give up?  Huh?

I would think having a greater variety of weapons statted up outside of the books would be a boon, not detrimental.  Smiley

Assault Rifle - Caliber III

Izhmash AN-94 Abakan 2d8+1 1–4/20 30M5 10 125 ft. S/2h CLS, TRO, UPG (bayonet lug) 8.5 lbs. — 27/+1 1994 $1,500
5.45x39mm Russian                         45M3 60M2
- Can't be fired with the stock folded, as the stock covers the trigger.
- Can mount a GP-30 grenade launcher and bayonet at the same time.

Two-round burst will require some work, as the weapon fires at a higher rate of fire (1800 vs. the normal 600) the first two rounds to have them impact the same point, thus making it more effective against body armor.

Assault Rifle - Caliber III

Izhmash AN-94 Abakan 2d8+1 1–2/20 30M5 10 125 ft. S/2h CLS, UPG (bayonet lug) 8.5 lbs. — 27/+1 1994 $1,500

Well, the effect of that is AP of some level.  I'm not quite sure how to implement that though. Are you sure 1-2 is a wide enough error range? I don't see anything about it's reliability in a cursory check, but complex mechanism with more moving parts says multiple points of failure to me.

Not to off-ramp the hi-tek entries, but...

I'm looking into running a campaign on the French Foreign Legion (during its "romanticised" glory days of late 19th to early 20th centuries) and the arms and equipment available to it. Any ideas/info are very welcome. Since I do not read French, I'm limited to other languages, sadly.  Sad  Thanks.

And now, back to our hi-tek programme.  Wink

Thanks Kresky! Upped the error range and gived the TRO (it takes weeks if not months to learn how to properly maintain the weapon).

For info on French Weapons search wikipedia with Weapons of France, you get some info.
BUT the French use a variety of calibers not covered in Spycraft.
7.5x54mm French
7.65x17mm
8x50mm R Lebel
7x59mm Meunier
13.2x96mm

The 7.5x54mm is comparable to a 7.62x54 NATO, according to Wikipedia, so I'd go for that.  7.62x17mm - ain't that .32 ACP? That's in the book. 8mm Lebel, I'd probably do the same as 7.5x54mm but with less range (maybe go for a 150ft.-ish range increment?) No solid info on the Meunier, but it apparently didn't really get adopted. The 13.2 was apparently so close to the classical .50 BMG that they had to shorten the case to 96mm to avoid confusion. In either event, I'd just grab the .50's stats and use those.

And the H&K USP Compact?
Use H&K USP as a base.
Weapon becomes a Backup Pistol - Caliber II.
Increase recoil by 1 or 2 (I'd go for 2; shorter barrel, smaller grip).
Shorten range by 5 ft (shorter barrel).
New magazine capacities: 9mm 13M4, .40 S&W 12M4, .45 ACP 8M4
Drop weight to 1.6 lb.

Since you guys were getting started out so nicely, you want to roll out the whole SG 550 family, especially the SG 551 LM? Wink (or is it the 551-SWAT I'm thinking about. Their naming conventions are confusing the heck out of me) Sad

Don't feel bad, like I said the SG 550 has three different names in Switzerland depending who you talk to and what language you're speaking at the time. Smiley

Aaah, brilliant, thanks  Wink

Edit: Just idly wondering why you picked cal IV for the SWAT. Would be about par with the G36, don't you think?

No. 1994.
There is also a version available in .357 SIG with the magazine capacity of 12.
For that version I'd go for recoil 19. Range 20 ft. E/T 1/20.

You'll have 2 upgrades with the 9mm, 1 with the .40 S&W and .357 SIG and no iupgrades with the .45 ACP.

And if you want real world prices you'll pay between $879 (9mm & .40 S&W) and $959 (.45 ACP).
I have no price for the .357 SIG version.

I'm going to feel ridiculous for asking this, but is there a bonus on handling recoil if you hold the pistol with two hands?
