Very cool. A while back we were running a time travel campaign this would have made a great start to a 'what if'.

A pity it seems to still be vaporware.  In the meantime, you can think about the vismods you can apply to a Kel Tek RFB.

Did anyone ever get around to coming up with some stats for the MAG-7?  I'm curious because I want to have them handy for one of my players as a reward.

I'm not seeing an easy reference for the ammo it uses - other than that it's a 25% smaller than normal 12 gague round, and a very short barrel so the muzzle velocity/damage code has got to be suffering. OTOH that may help keep the recoil managable.

A 5 round magazine just seems insane for its proposed tactical role, though.

the character they are working with wants to use them like someone from an anime and dual wield them with wrist mounted holsters, so chaos/insanity shall probably ensue  regardless.

Until this morning, I had never heard of these things before.

Yeah, purely by eyeball I'm thinking 3d4+2/15 ft increments shot, 4d4/20 ft. increments slug with 0 recoil. The anime fudges the semi-automatic rather than pump action, so the real thing does not lend itself to dual weilding.

So are there rules somewhere for generic this caliber bullet does X damage, and has these other stats or anything?  I've always been curious to figure that out.

My cousin and I are working on a random firearm generator for Borderlands style loot, and we've basically just had to freeform everything, but if there is a general convention at play we could totally make it legit.

The idea right now is that the weapons are broken down via proficiency slot, and then you roll on a table.  So for instance, you roll on the Pistol table and you can receive either a handgun or revolver.  Then it rolls caliber of ammo, number of shots in the magazine, extra tweaks to the firing mechanisms (like upgrades and stuff), then appearance and accessories.  And at the end it gives you your weapon's stats and if there are any special features like fire damage, or extra gadgets and the like.

Oh, and since he's a programer, he's making a flash program that will do it at the press of a button along with the option to reroll each individual option as needed.

The short answer is no, the long answer is sorta.  Going down the weapons table in the SC 2.0 book does yield some fairly consistent answers to your query.
