It's 2010. The Ori are defeated. The Stargate program is still secret, but with a markedly increased international make-up of its personnel to defray growing criticisms from the USA's allies over the flow of alien technologies.

SG-13 are a back-up team. They're the ones people call on when things go wrong and a team like SG-1 have to be rescued yet again. This means a mission profile calling for similar skills to a recon/first contact team like SG-1, but heavier firepower and a knack for often covert ops.

Would a Marine Scout/Sniper be ok.  If so, I'll work on something tonight when I have the book in front of me.

well since my sout/sniper has been claimed i think i would like something along the lines of a scientist/explorer or soldier build.

but before i would committ i would like to know the frequency/rate of the postings. i could do once, or twice, three times a week, but daily might be a bit much to keep up with b/c of work and just daily life stuff.

All builds sound good.

I'd say that 3 times a week would be the minimum we'd aim for, but it's a pbp game - if a delay happens, it happens.

I am thinking a pointman/tactician that way I can be useful.  Mostly pointman to begin with for the cross class ability.

Never played an RPG in a play by post format, but would like to give it a try.

As I'm late for the ever popular Scout/Sniper, I'd like a shot at an Intruder build.  Direction would be appreciated.  Should I shoot for a straight Intruder, or Intruder/Counter-Terrorist, or in the extreme, Intruder/Raptor.

are you full yet? Is knowledge of stargate needed, as I've seen about two episodes in total?

Nah, you can wing it. You could also play the team newbie.

As a back up team, SG-13 needs to cover the following bases:

Precision Takedown. Short range & long distance are both useful for taking out sentries,  guards and bushwackers.
Transportation. In most cases, this means piloting someone else's vehicle such as a deathglider or tel'tak.
Technology. Hotwiring alien vehicles, working out how to put the gizmo into reverse, computers, etc.
Cultures. What are the natives saying and doing. Is that Asgard or Furling graffiti?
Medicine. It's really really easy to get horribly hurt.
Infiltration. Break and enter, assassination.
Recon. Where is everyone and what happened here?
Fire Support. Let's rock & roll.

New Drive focus: Space vessel, Goa'uld.
Covers: All non-glider vessels of goa'uld manufacture.

New Drive focus: Space vessel, performance.
Covers: Deathgliders & 302s.

Any objection if I make her part of the Russian contingent? I'm okay either way.
