 Cry
I have contacted my local gaming supplier about some more Spycraft 2.0 2nd printing books and he has said that he has already had to return 2 shipments of them due to the book's binder glue breaking apart and spliting the book.  MnSAGA hasn't had any major problem with the first run that we bought, but as I asked to see the ones he was returning, they were pretty bad and split right down the binder.  The first page in the book that I bought started to give way from the glue a little, but not too bad.  Other than that ours are ok.  Don't know if its the big deep freeze here in Minnesota with the shipping or what.  Was wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem yet.

I was one of the first one to get a binding issue. It appears all the books are held on by one page, rather than using binding glue, or any really professional binding technique.
We looked at all the books on the store shelf, and they weer all quite bad. So I got my replacement. It's doable, but i'll have to be ludicrously careful with it.

I'm pleased that Mognoose has been really good about replacing their shoddy work. I'm unhappy that they have done such shoddy work.

Mine had a similar problem... split down the binding in short order. Contacted Mongoose for a replacement; it arrived earlier this week.

I expect mine to fall apart. Then again, I'm not playing any since I can't find players, so it is holding for now.  Cry

Why? Just Cause...

Now I'm worried about getting my second print. Cause most of the time I buy my books on ebay (some websites, amazon especially, have this tendency of overpricing oversea shippings) not to mention it never arrives on scheduled time.

When I buy on ebay it arrives precisely when it's meant to, no matter which vendor I buy it from. So I'm really concerned, if this binding issue happens to me, can I contact mongoose to get a new book?

Yes indeed. Just drop them an email and they'll take care of it.

Mine is already showing signs of giving in two places - between pages 2&3, and just before the pages for the dramatic conflict cards.

It looks to me that it was just a tiny bit too big for the binding machine, causing a mix of problems. If so, there is not much Mongoose can do to improve the process other than use thinner paper (which causes other problems in regards to wear) and losing some pages (which pages would you leave out?).

The only real solutions are too expensive to be realistic - get a different, larger, machine to bind the books (and the bigger the machine the more expensive it is) or job the binding out (when the whole point of getting the equipment was to bring everything in house to save on the expenses).  Undecided

A chunk of the Gear chapter came loose today... it was already going, but it fell right out during the gearing up step...

Oh, that wasn't a binding problem.  That was just the book giving you the portions relevant to your current situation.  It is actually a pretty cool feature.
