Is anyone interested at all how this movie will look? I haven't seen Rocky Balboa, so i'm unaware of what shape Sly is in.

Though when his greatest enemy is not the jungle itself, not the Burmese soldiers hunting him down, but his hip, something can't be right...

It's like Sean Connery trying to do a Modern Day Bond....  ..on that note, I definately have to watch this train wreck.

With the bad hair and the headband, hip is definitely Rambo's problem. ^_^

I don't see what the problem is to be honest. Yeah, he's in his 60s (62?) but he's fitter than a lot of 20-somethings out there Wink

Haven't seen Rocky Balboa (but then, I wasn't a fan of the original series (mainly because I don't like boxing)). In fact, that last film I saw him in was Taxi 3 (and he was hilarious in that Cheesy)

I watched the redband (R18) trailer and it was pretty much everything I expected from a movie. In fact, I knew I was going to see it as soon as I saw him take out the two guys in the jeep.

Pure, unadulterated badass.

*reads up a bit*

For starters, he takes HGH, so that's not much of a surprise. And to quote someone else:

Ripped, but a drug filled body and ugly as sin..is that what you really want?

That said, I usually have no problem with old actors in roles somewhat close to this (Clintwood in Unforgiven) but in such a physical role? It's embarassing, and I doubt very much will be worth a watch unless I hear they managed to edit the action in such a way that it doesn't appear he's wheezing while he sprints.  Undecided

I suspect they'll be doing the same kind of editing magic for Harrison Ford in the new Indiana Jones feature.

Yeah, it's hard to screw up when the bar is set as low as this.  On some level, it's what saved Rocky Balboa:  expectations were so low that people were often pleasantly surprised at how much it didn't suck.  That's not to say it was good, just that it wasn't a total wreck.  I expect Rambo will work much the same way.

The differernce is that Bruce doesn't look or move like a catcher's mitt and has 8 or so years on Sly.
