1  Products / Fantasy Craft / Re: Crusaders! Crusading for Hamster Justice since 2013! on: February 16, 2013, 08:31:05 AM
Just for myself and the record:

I LOVE subplots.

I absolutly LOVE them. They give me and my players instant plot hooks and adventure ideas.
When the group is at a rest period or done killing the BIG BAD of the last adventure, a subplot rears it's lovely misshapened head and sends the group off on another tangent entirely.
It's like wirting an adventure ad hoc and having a hair trigger on it.

LOVE them.

For the record.

Just another shameless love-fest for the new Call to Arms classes.
The Crusader is now my new fav base class. Featuring a sub-plot in the actual character development? My player dream come true!

And just as a side note, considering that these have dominated the top sales position at DTRPG since release, it just goes to show you guys:
Put it out and we will buy it.

Keep it up guys. And Long Live FC!

4  Products / Fantasy Craft / Hero Lab for FantasyCraft? on: January 23, 2013, 10:56:17 AM
I'm a huge Hero Lab fan (wolflair.com) and I would LOVE to see a FC license with all the trimmings.

Character Creation, item and weapon mods auto-calculated, PDF printing.

I know you guys are crazy busy, but if you could explore the option, it might be a great thing for all us FC players and GM's, just a thought.

Thank-you.

Dramatic Scenes.

Seriously, when taking on mooks and other losers, you can go through them like potato chips, but when the Boss or Big Bad shows up, your character is fatigued or shaken (not stirred) and all damage is wounds not vitality, you know the crap is firmly in the fan and you're against the wall.

Adds a great layer of desperate action and tension to the scene.

Yeah, Core Narrative Control is a shared responsablity between the group and GM.

Player input on Campaign Qualities (Do you want Dark and Edgy like 24's CTU or Light and Campy like 70's Era James Bond?")

When it comes down to Modern Espionage RPG'ing you've got the Holy Trinity of James Bond, Jason Borune, and Jack Bauer. If your game can't handle all three of those playstyles, don't even bother.

Resource Control. Are you scrambling for anything you can get your hands on (Burn Notice) or do you have unlimited access (Q Branch)?

Chase Scenes are a must. If I can't show the player's Ronin and say "We're gonna do this!", and then transition to the rooftop footchase from Bourne, something's wrong.

Player Narrative Input: "I really liked that female rebel from Columbia last Mission, can I have her as a Contact?"

Thank you much.

Can the Rage Feat Chain be used if you are armed?

It's listed under the Unarmed Feats but it doesn't say you can't be swinging a sword or ax while "raging".
Thanks.
9  Products / Mistborn Adventure Game / Re: Iron Inquisitors as PCs? on: October 15, 2011, 08:48:34 AM
And that sounds like you've got a plan for Mistborn RPG'ing more than the core book, yes?

Yup! You can expect a full range of PDFs and print materials, including an Alloy of Law book and yes, a release handling the Steel Inquisition (which will, among other things, let you play on their team).

(Steeples fingers) Excellent.

WOW talk about a quick response! You ever sleep Alex?  Shocked

Seriously, thanks for the reply, I'm juiced for this game no matter what.

Does the game allow this?

I mean for a full-on villain game with the players busting up thieving crews and brutally putting down rebellious tratiors to the empire?
12  Products / Fantasy Craft / Re: Path of Villiany? on: April 20, 2011, 08:07:56 AM
Good points one and all.

The Path of Evil allready has the counterpoint of Good, so I was trying to stay away from that.

I think it would be possible to be both evil and a hero, just not for the side of Good. Thus, the question. An anti-hero as such.
13  Products / Fantasy Craft / Path of Villiany? on: April 18, 2011, 08:50:58 AM
So we have a Path of Heroes in the FC core book, but what about an opposite to balance it out?
(i.e. Light/Dark, Order/Chaos, Protection/Destruction, etc...)

LOL.  Great.. I can see that briefing now.  We'll have BOLOs for RPG groups... entire teams whose sole function is to decipher the true meaning of a D20... They'll print "Immune to Crits" on the body armor...
