And finished. I need to learn to pace myself.  Excellent series. If you have not yet go watch it.

Ok... I swear, this will not be constant updates, but the last scene in episode 2 is one of the absolute best pieces of cinematography and choreography I have seen in a while, and certainly in all of Marvel's productions. It's stunning.

Oh, and the show is orders of magnitude darker, more violent (actually violent, not comic book violence), and more gruesome then anything Marvel's done.
that scene brought to mind old boy. And it was shot in one take . Also the show is incredible

i cannot be saddened by his passing. he was in the buisness of bringing people joy and i do not believe that he could rest easy knowing his passing has brought a bit of sadness into the world.

Only because he'd approve:

Well, where did we have him last?

 Cry
The great Sir Terry Pratchett  is now the late Sir Terry Pratchett, and the world gets another little bit worse.   Cry  Cry

Yet we were made a little better by having him.
his light shines on in his wonderfull writings.

I feel like a studies in player base and player characters would be valid additions.

I find it an intriguing concept for a game world.

has anyone seen this anime? i am about 15 episodes in and thought it would be a great idea for a campaign setting. a game world where it is being represented by the players playing themselves in an mmorpg. but i was trying to figure out what ccampaign qualities to use. also should there be one for rare item drops?

EA has killed off Maxis.  Cry
it was only one maxis studio the same one that made sim city. the developer though is still around.

if you would notice most of the modern games are either war games, or games like gta. im just at a loss for how you are going to do an urban fantasy similar to one of those games.

Really?  Complete loss?  *Sigh* Bioshock uses magic hidden as science, Mass Effect in the 21st century, Call of Duty with magic as additions to your arsenal (aka Legendary except done properly)... Even The Bureau: XCOM Declassified's game system (third person shooter with slowable turn-based elements) would work since they employ a class based magic system.  Or better yet, something using the XCOM engine!  Do Ogre Battle: Tactics in a modern setting!  Cross-over Fire Emblem and Advance Wars!  Something!  Anything!
i just dont feel like taking a war game and tacking on magic would do the modern fantasy genre justice. if anything look at la noire or mafia for gameplay inspiration. the problem i have with using xcom and bioshock is they are both apocalyptic settings. i feel like something like a mafia setting featuring a dispute between factions say seelie and unseelie fae courts ala lost girl could work.

i can see a few problems with a modern urban fantasy video game. the main thing is keeping it interesting. video gamers tend to like things to have a certain pace and i am not sure unless it is something like tell tales wolf among us how you can maintain any kind of pace that would keep; a gamer interested.
