I find it amusing that something that was was essentially a take-off of Aliens was itself taken off in the Aliens: Colonial Marines maxi-series.
Not to burst your bubble, but Tyranids bear more resemblence to the bugs from Starship Troopers (the book, not the movie) than the Aliens. Of course, giant bug-like aliens have pretty much become standard fare for sci-fi...

Glory for the Tau Empire! FOR THE GREATER GOOD!
Ahem. Seriously though, the Tau are the coolest and bestest race in all of 40k, and therefore Dark Crusade is the only expansion necessary. Though brining in some nids to purge from a third phase sept would be nice...

He was actually at the first GenConSoCal playing the Serenity role playing game. If I remember correctly, the plot was him trying to get back to Serenity when it had to leave him behind or something so he got onboard the players ship to try and catch up.
Um.. Wow. If I could play an RPG with Nathan Fillion (as Mal nonetheless!) I'd be soo happy.

See, I like full NPCs for the badguy whos limits are set. "He's level 10, you're level 5. If you think you can take him now, go ahead and try. I recommend you level a couple times first, but its your option."
Scalabilty is all well and good, but sometimes you don't want a particular character to scale. You understand what I'm sayin?

If I was playing a melee character using one of these tricks. I would look more seriously at dumping something like Wis, Cha, or even Dex (provided I wasn't using the associated trick) 'Sides, as a melee fighter with one of the ___ Strike or ___ Blow abilities, I really don't know why you'd want to dump Str - you only use your chosen attribute for attack, NOT for damage (which is still keyed off of Strength) Unless you're using a weapon with the FIN quality...

If its anywhere, it'll be over in Liscense to Improvise, but I'm not sure it survived the move.

That's the thing ... if I knew I was going to die in a very short timespan I'd be willing to do the drink .... As for the two ladies, I'd be quite content with either one.
"If you gotta go... go with a smile." That's my motto. For some reason, that made me thing "If you're gonna die... die with your boots on". Of course, my motto is: "If you gotta go, don't do it in my car. I don't want to clean it up."

My biggest problem with Quicktime is that even after I've changed my settings, it seems to want to be my default player for everything, which is quite annoying. Also, I can't stand to let Iron Man fall this far down the page

So it's the version of the table of contents that went to print. That's no fun. Twice now he's escaped being put up there. Can't you just let the guy have a break and let him stay hidden Oh yeah. Spin Doctor's in here. Guess I somehow carried the wrong post over. Will fix. EDIT: Wait, he's in there. You're cracked! I think he's actually dissapointed that the Spin Doctor made it to the TOC....

A bunch of XKCDers are planning on showing up and having a big pow-wow. I live relatively close, but I'm not sure if I'll have the time. I work on Sundays, so I'd have to make special arrangements for what I imagine is just a silly idea.

Arrgh, I came here to post this and it seems I've been beaten by several hours. Curse work!
Iron Man rocks!
"They say the best weapon is the one you never have to fire. I prefer the weapon you only have to fire once. That's how dad did it; that's how America does it; and it's worked out pretty well so far."
