I know the info is in the first printing, but I'm too lazy to look up a page number. Sniping uses the normal combat rules, with the note that the target is usally flat-footed and the shooter is usually hidden. Not necessarily though, natch.

I figured this was coming once they finally broke down and made short people legs for Yoda...

While we're mentioning Lovcraft-inspired movies, there's always Dagon. It's basically a redo of the Shadow Over Insmouth with a few liberties taken to make it more movie friendly. All in all a decent watch, if you're into crouds of people chanting "Ia! Ia! Cthulhu ftagn!"

Hemophobia is indeed the fear of blood, that's proboably a typo.

143,130. The most interesting person I found on the list was Oscar Wilde.

That was awesome. And simultaniously frightening.

Honestly its more likely to just stop whatever its doing than go on a killing spree.

You can't prove that the stress relieved won't stop an ulcer that would otherwise kill some poor soldier (and/or Marine).
1886  Community / Off-Topic / Re: Those fun 80's views of the future on: October 17, 2007, 11:37:14 PM
Jeeze, I can't believe this thread got this far without the quintessential 80's view of the future... Back to the Future, to be precise (BttF II to be more precise). We've got what, 2 more years to develop flying cars and cheesy shark holograms and self tying shoes? Oh, and commercially available fusion cores that run on trash! We better get cracking!

Oohkay, this thread has dissolved to in character discussions among tyranids.... and I contributed to that. ::sigh::

So, how about them orcs? They've got a really spiffy master class I hear.

So, LgGor, LgCen, LgFau, LgTri, for our four favorite LoO species?

I find it amusing that something that was was essentially a take-off of Aliens was itself taken off in the Aliens: Colonial Marines maxi-series.

Not to burst your bubble, but Tyranids bear more resemblence to the bugs from Starship Troopers (the book, not the movie) than the Aliens. Of course, giant bug-like aliens have pretty much become standard fare for sci-fi...

Glory for the Tau Empire! FOR THE GREATER GOOD!

Ahem. Seriously though, the Tau are the coolest and bestest race in all of 40k, and therefore Dark Crusade is the only expansion necessary. Though brining in some nids to purge from a third phase sept would be nice...

Tau'va!
