There are a lot of women who would also argue that Cumberbatch is hot.

As for Wonder Woman, Marvel beat DC to that announcement with two TV shows featuring female leads (Agent Carter and Jessica Jones - both of which have female Exec Producers and showrunners). Also, both shows are part of the movie continuity, unlike DC's offerings.

Is either side perfect? No?
Are people going to be upset because actor X wasn't cast as Doctor Strange? Of course.
Are a whole lot of people going to go to the cinema and seriously enjoy themselves? Absolutely.
Will this be the time that things work out and the Wonder Woman movie actually gets made? I certainly hope so (but I'm not holding my breath).

...and Constantine really doesn't fit properly into the broader DC universe.

That's not really anything new for DCU TV shows Wink

Wow, I must have missed this...

If you're on Facebook, you should Like Dean Devlin. He posts fairly regular mini production updates. I like what I'm seeing (but I'm easy to please) and the cast looks great (even if it meant Frewer couldn't an event here in NZ last weekend).

I suspect there's a lot more to the Iron Man/Hulk fight than we might suspect. Banner's in the trailer a few times, and each one is rather interesting (struggling through snow, wrapped up in the Quinjet, and a tender-looking moment with Black Widow.

Is it May yet?

It's interesting to note that, between Winter Soldier and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., they've managed to introduce many of the major players in Civil War...

...so it will interesting to see how close they stick to the comics. It's also another perfect opportunity to have the TV series and movie(s) work in unison again - especially with RDJ's comments about wanting to appear on the show.

Say what you like about Doctor Who, but they have excellent taste when it comes to hiring bands to perform on the show: Don't Stop Me Now - Foxes from Mummy on the Orient Express.

And here's basically the same story without the madness that comes with the Daily Mail.

It sounds like James Pethokoukis is a little bitter after Hot Pikachu spurned his advances.

It's a couple of days late, but Baron Samedi from Live and Let Die has died. He was 84.

I've heard that we'll also get to see a certain future administrator of Cloud City.

While the graphics were a little more cartoony than The Clone Wars, it was still enjoyable. I'm interested in where they take things with the Inquisitor, always good to have something new in the Star Wars universe (that isn't Gungan).

It won't mean much to people outside of NZ, but comedian Ewen Gilmour died last night.

Damnit.

As television moves towards On Demand being the preferred model for many viewers, this sort of thing is only going to become more common. Why get up early on a Saturday to watch cartoons when you can sleep in and watch the same shows a little later (and without the ads, if you're lucky)?

Huh? It's pretty clear from the previews that the main character of the show is C1-10P / Chopper - the sassiest astromech droid in the galaxy. The show's really about his day-to-day struggles as he puts up with an at times barely competent crew of humans and aliens trying to fight the good fight against the evil Empire.

Typical. I finally learn to drive and now self-driving cars are becoming a thing. Gah.

I'd love to hear from any Scots, Scot-ish folk, or whoever has a stake in this.

I don't have a personal stake, my family emigrated from Dunfirmline to Dunedin around 1850. That said, we didn't leave our culture behind, so I'm hoping the Scots turn their backs on the English, bend over, and show them what Scotsmen wear under their kilts. Also, the Scottish pledge to make the country nuclear-free warms my Kiwi heart.

And if the vote does fall on the side of 'better together' it will be interesting to see which concessions, if any, the Scots end up getting.

George Zimmerman's back in the news, but I don't really care. Someone else is welcome to tackle this if they want.

I would, but I don't want to be shot in 'self defense'.
