Chuck
Good heavens, how could I forget it. I guess it's that I'd never run a campaign like that, as much as I love the series. And Yvonne Strahovski. Oh I totally would love to be able to run a chuck style campaign

there's no decent (modern) cyberpunk RPG. And, since I have little faith in other gaming companies doing something good these days/quote]
I declare this statement to be immutable truth. I also would like to see a well done cyberpunk game and I really do only trust one company to get it just right.

I think its perfectly acceptable given the important part no one's mentioned yet.
Base movement: Climbing counts against your movement this round so he's still limited... no wait that's boring.
CLIMB CHECKS. Everytime he moves he's gotta roll. He IS climbing after all. That's athletics. Oh sure he'll autosucceed given how ea... "oooh, what's this here, GM?" "AN ERROR!" "Do you want it?" "More than anything!"
I had totally forgotten about the climb check, I think I would allow it or at least for as long to tell if it adds fun to the game or not. If it ends up adding to the game we would keep if after a few sessions it was making things less fun out the window it would go.

Yep, I bet it will. ... As a matter of fact, a PA game will be even easier to duplicate, especially if you want to do something Rifts like in setting or something similar. I've been germinating an idea for when MC gets more fully well-rounded that is PA in setting. ... That and my D-Gate game will be easier to manipulate into resurrection.
ACK!! Rifts... I've lost some sleep in trying to drum up a decent conversion for it. But MasterCraft will allow you, not only another opportunity to attempt it, to succeed in solid fashion methinks. I have a sneaky feeling that MasterCraft would do Rifts far better than the paladium system ever did.

Just to be 100% clear, this applies even if sneak attack conditions are not removed, right? Make two half action attacks, each with that trick against a flanked character and sneak attack will apply to 2 of 6 of those hits? There's no way the wording would imply otherwise, just making sure that was still the intent.
Sneak attack damage only ever applies if the conditions are right it to apply (IE the target is flatfooted or flanked). If something causes the character to lose flatfooted (such as after taking the first hit from a Multishot bow attack), the sneak attack would not apply to the remaining attacks. A follow-up question: If a character is somehow suffering some effect that makes him 'permanently' flat-footed (an exotic poison or what have you), then mechanically speaking you still only get one sneak attack hit in a multiple-hit-attack? As in, the first hit happens, the character takes sneak attack damage, the flat-footed condition goes away as per it's own rules, the remaining hits are non-sneak attacks, and as soon as the attack resolves the poison (or whatever effect) kicks in and re-instates the flat-footed condition? Just trying to get a grasp for the flow of mechanics here... I think basically the concept is to not allow a whole lot of sneak attacks from one character on to another character in a single round as that would just be horrifically unbalancing.

I'd also like to see ways to for mages to combat other mages, other than just dealing damage.
Mage #1 realizes that mage #2 is about to cast a really nasty spell on the fighter of the group. Luckily for the fighter, Mage #1 knows how to counter the nasty spell.
That's overly simplifying it but something like that could be epic. Grand battle between master mages.
I 2nd this but I want it to be different than counter spelling in D&D, hard to express what I dislike about it but it just always seemed like a waste to me vs just trading spells.

Telecommunications depends on what you want to know. But I saw a bunch of other IT guys in the research thread I would imagine that most have some form of teleco experience. I have a fairly good grasp of wireless communication in particular in the area of CDMA. I have worked for Air Touch Cellular, Kyocera Wireless and Qualcomm. I have worked with PBXs, VOIP, ISDN lines, ect. The key thing being if no one else steps up I probably have enough knowledge to know where to go look to find out what exactly it is that you need. Unfortunately rockets on the other hand not so much. Also obviously while I am very bright and a very capable researcher, writing in itself is far from one of my strong points.

I say keep up the good work, what you guys have in my humble opinion is a very nice engine to run a nice "game" me and my group enjoy it very much. I will happily wait for products if it means getting the same quality. I think by far its the best balance of roll playing and role playing out in the market right now with just enough meat to keep me satisfied. It is also one of the few systems that I haven't had to house rule a bunch of stuff or said gee that is just silly. My only complaint is the PDF heavy nature of things while I DO understand the economics of it I just hate to pay for digital only content.

Ok that was a stupid question as Sci Fi as a genre in it self is way to far reaching. I should have said a futurist product or a space opera product of sorts. I mean one could easily do certain genres of Sci Fi rather easily with FC as it is.

Goodlun, I think you've hit the nail on the head. I agree completely. With 10K + SC3 + FC + FS + a Psionics tool kit, we have a system to mix and match to run ANY setting. (Eg Pulp, Urban Fantasy, Horror, Planetary Romance, Post Apoc etc etc.) This basis could be then be added to with detailed world settings, gear books etc.
Please Crafty, could you make FS and Psionics the next targets after the current batch of products???
We will not be publishing FS. It is Scott's property now, following his departure from the company. I would imagine though you have to have some sort of Sci Fi product some where in the pipeline though right?
