4  Products / Spycraft 2.0 / Drones Sensors? on: June 14, 2009, 03:16:39 AM
I've started this new Topic because I encountered some problems with Drone Sensors:

Can these Sensors be used to monitor the gound, take pictures, live video feeds???
I thinks so because they are designed for that (the Forward Spotter class ability mentioned that you can see through a drone), but it is not mentioned any where else in the books.
What is the Visual Range for such a Visual Sensors (10 miles like all other sensors)?
Can these sensors be upgraded to include other Sensor types (see below)?
Can the Visual Sensor be upgraded for Night Vision?
What would the Upgrade cost be for such upgrades?

That is what I found in the UAV Wikipedia:

UAV remote sensing functions include electromagnetic spectrum sensors, biological sensors, and chemical sensors. A UAV's electromagnetic sensors typically include visual spectrum, infrared, or near infrared cameras as well as radar systems. Other electromagnetic wave detectors such as microwave and ultraviolet spectrum sensors may also be used, but are uncommon. Biological sensors are sensors capable of detecting the airborne presence of various microorganisms and other biological factors. Chemical sensors use laser spectroscopy to analyze the concentrations of each element in the air.

(Shrug) If it became important, I'd wing something off of the visual range rules.

Seem a logical rule, thx for the suggestion.

Have your player look at the Forward class.  One of my players built a Hacker / Forward... never leaves the base, car, etc.  Drones and Computers ...and a BUNCH of dice rolls.. are his forte'. lol.
Ya, I was constructing something similar.

But I have a Problem with the Sensors.

Can these Sensors be used to monitor the gound, take pictures, live video feeds?Huh?
I thinks so because they are designed for that, but it is not mentioned any where
But what is the Base Range for these Sensors??
Can these sensors be upgraded for nightvision?

I'm going to start a new topic about this, so I hope to get a official answer.

6  Products / Spycraft 2.0 / Big Brother and bugs? on: June 12, 2009, 11:17:13 AM
One of our team members wants to play the guy that sits in the van with all the electronic equipment, to observe the area and to advise the team.
How do you handle the survailance with bugs without the Big Brother ability, and how much gear and time does it take?
I have also some questions concerning the use of bugs:
-Can you apply the Nightvision and Termal and the telescopic vision to a video bug?
-Can you record the info on the laptop with a bug?
-What is the base visual range with a bug?

I want to create a new rescource pick called "Plans".
This pick allows for detailed plans from the interior of a building or vehicle.

Does anybody knows how to proceed.

Besides .50in is the only weapon where ammo counts (and even then Raufoss Mk 211 is the way to go), otherwise you just use match-grade rounds when sniping.
Ya, forgot all ubout them.
Thanks
10  Products / Spycraft 2.0 / Re: Contacts on: June 07, 2009, 12:15:04 PM
I know that I need to contact them, and they will be there.
But What I mean is:
The abilities I mention also requires you to make a skill check, what is the skill bonus for such a contact?

Or does the prescence of the specialist allows you to use the ability, but you need to make the check.
11  Products / Spycraft 2.0 / Contacts on: June 05, 2009, 03:19:05 AM
I've got a problem with contacs:

-Does the contact always knows a consultant or specialist every where you go, even in a different country?

-The specialist is a problem for me:  He chooses a Class ability, that I understand. But what if the class ability requires a skill check to use, or just provides a bonus?
Example I: I want to make a Specialist Scientist with the "Research project Elbow Grease class ability. How do I use such a specialist when my team is on a mission?
Example II: I want to create a Specialist Hacker with the L337 class ability. How do I use such a specialist when my team is on a mission?
