1  Products / Fantasy Craft / After game rule questions on: April 14, 2011, 11:55:36 AM
Hello all!

Two things that came up on my groups last game session for which Im at a lost...

1) Firing a ranged weapon into a melee.  Is there a game mechanism for this?
Or does the target just gains cover? If so, how much cover would that be?

2) We just realized their is no Perform skill!!!  How can someone imitate someone
else`s voice, or act, or sing, or play the luth?

Thank you in advance!
2  Products / Fantasy Craft / Power Word Spells on: April 02, 2011, 01:26:55 PM
Hello Crafters!!!

Power word spells have always been powerful and I can understand designers looking for ways to make them more balanced but....   Suffering the same effect as the target seems a bit to much no?

Any thoughts or clarifications on the reasons behind this?

Thanks
3  Products / Fantasy Craft / Stress Damage DC on: March 05, 2011, 09:23:36 PM
Greetings fellow Crafters!!!

One of my players is a Human with the Sorcerer specialty.  This brought up a question on the
Terrifying Look quality:

Im I reading this right?  If a standard NPC already suffering 10 total damage from different
sources, receives 6 more stress damage from a character with the Terrifying Look quality, the DC
not to fall unconscious should be equal to 22? =  16/2=8(+4)=12+10

Thank you all!
4  Products / Fantasy Craft / Special Attacks with an Area on: February 16, 2011, 10:50:48 PM
Hello all!

On p23,7 4th paragraph it says area extraordinary attacks are standard ranged attacks...
Does the NPC using such an attack first need to make an attack roll vs the targets defense who
then gain a Reflex save???  This makes a dragons breath weapon easier to dodge then a fireball...

Thank you all!

Quick question.

When using a skill untrained, the FantasyCraft rulebook says: result cannot exceed 15.
Is this the total result including all bonus or the result on the dice?

Than you all!

Thanks guys!

I`m slowly learning to know this beast.   I think its worth it do.  What a great ruleset!  I loved Pathfinder, but this is even better!

I can`t wait to sit down with my players for our first game. (Probably in a month or so).

8  Products / Fantasy Craft / NPCs and weapon proficiencies on: February 14, 2011, 09:08:51 PM
Greeting all!

I was looking into the Foes chapter and noticed NPCs don`t seem to gain weapon proficiencies.
How can they use Advanced Combat Actions requiring prerequisites like weapon forte
or learn tricks???

Thank you all
9  Products / Fantasy Craft / Crafting and Income on: February 06, 2011, 02:56:22 PM
Hello all!

A couple of questions I would like to submit to the community:

- I dont really understant how to calculate any leftover reputation gained from
crafting stuff.   Lets say a want to build something costing 80sp and the minimum
dowtime required is in weeks.  I have 2 weeks of downtime and roll a craft result
of 28.  That would give me a result of 120s/2 (table 2.9 on p73)  So that would
give me one new crafted item and 40s in leftover...but how many reputation...
1 or 2?

For simplicity's sake, Im thinking of adding a house rule where you always gain reputation
from downtime checks when crafting or using any skills in addition to making income
or crafting stuff.

-Also, I'm I understanding the Prudence Lyfestyle correctly if I see it this way:
 -Step one:  Adventure
-Step two:  Get back in town and spend Coin in Hand on desired toys and downtime projects.
-Step tree:  Stake the leftover money AFTER all expenses using my Prudence value.

Thank you all for feedback and opinions!!!!

Thanks for the quick reply...

I read and re-read both feats several times trying to wrap my mind
around them and I never noticed it was heat AND fire...!

Silly me   Shocked

Thank you!
11  Products / Fantasy Craft / Lava-Born / Lava-Clan question on: February 05, 2011, 09:13:39 AM
Greetings all!

The Laval-Born and Lava-Clan dwarven racial feats on p.103 are confusing me.

Lets say I only have the Lava-Born feat:
If I'm already converting my melee damage into fire and score a threat,
will the action dice used also be fire damage or must I also have the
Lava-Clan feat for that?

Thank you!
