The things you find when you're Googling - I Googled 'motorcycle minigun' to try and id the film that footage comes from, and I came across this instead.

I ran my game a couple of weeks ago - didn't run the mission I've been writing, I ran Earthbound from S&P and it went really well, we all enjoyed ourselves.
(And I've started thinking about a follow-up mission in the Republic of East Africa probably involving a uranium mine and suitcase nukes since I've been watching 24 season 6 and Spooks recently)

One of my players played an Intruder, which led to the question: does the Gear Prep ability stack with Big Budget? e.g. in a Caliber 3 mission with Big Budget, can the Intruder select a piece of Caliber 5 gear? I ruled it did at the time but now I'm not so sure.

I was just re-reading the description for big budget and realised I'd forgotten about the bonus Wealth which applies at character creation. So this does imply that the Caliber change applies to Possession picks as well.

I am however intrigued by Gentry's suggestion that using big budget gives me more to do as GC. Unless I'm missing something, the only point it will make a difference is at character creation which I'm doing ahead of time, not mid-flow. I'm also intending to use blockbuster, I can see that that one makes a difference mid-game.

I guess really I'm intending to use all the qualities suggested for an Espionage game - I'm very much hoping for a Bondian feel.

Hi all,

I'm getting ready to run my first SpyCraft game in a couple of weeks (I'll post up some details when I've got it all written up). None of my group (including me) have played SC before so I'm creating all the PCs in advance, but I've got a query about Possessions. If I'm running a game with big budget, does the extra Caliber level for gear picks apply to Possessions as well?

Hey All,

I have no idea if this is going to be useful for anyone else or not but I've taken a few photos over the last few months that I thought might be useful for SpyCraft GCs. I've put them up on Flickr at http://www.flickr.com/photos/bis4pp/tags/spycraft/. I'll keep looking out for other things and places that might fit and add them.

So far there are:
  • Two boats that I thought looked cool enough to be used by either agents or bad guys. (I've added links to websites that have deck plans - check out the charter costs!)
  • An island off the coast of Italy that looked like a lair. (I've put in a link to Google Maps' satellite photo for the GC who wants to offer satellite surveillance)
  • A couple of shots of the radar installation at the top of the Rock of Gibraltar.
  • A couple of shots of the cargo ship New Flame which sank off Gibraltar (having left the harbour without permission and allegedly carrying 'scrap metal' - it's a plot hook on its' own!)

I realise it's neither a jet nor a pack but I thought it might be interesting for a player or two...

Hi,

I'm writing my first SC mission, in which I want the first combat to take place underwater. The PCs will have only divers knives, but I want the Bad Guys to have, or at least start off with, spearguns as well as knives - I'm going for the visual effect of the PCs intently looking at something when a spear striking the rock next to them lets them know they aren't alone in the water.
The problem? I can't find any stats for a speargun in the book or anywhere on the forum. I know BFoG:Red Heat has the Soviet underwater weapons but that's not quite what I'm looking for. I thought probably I'd just use the crossbow stats from the book but wondered if anyone had any other suggestion.

Regards,

Phil
