91  Products / Fantasy Craft / Petrifying magic on: March 24, 2011, 07:25:14 AM
Ok, so this might be fixed in Spellbound, or I could be currently wrong, but I can't see in the FC book any form of magic that 'undos' the effect of a Petrifying Gaze attack i.e. Being turned to stone.

I mean I could throw a McGuffin in to the story but I'd kinda like my PC's to have to earn that potion/elixir before going up against the Gorgons I intend to throw at them.

Any thoughts?

I've updated my character sheet, and this is the final draft (unless there are any mistakes!) I edited my original post here if you want to move it across to the OOC thread Iprophet.

Looking forward to kicking this off!

Weirdly I thought this posted last night but no matter! Here's a picture that will suit for Elias, though he would normally have a heavy travelling coat as well, and the gun his favoured gun is more chunky with a bayonet blade fitted to it as well.

Edit: for spoiler tags

Hey, I've tweaked my character with languages and interests in the original "idea for a game thread", not sure how to stick a picture in but I have one if someone could let me know. Sorry about being (relatively quiet) -I've had a busy end to the week!

Also @Iprophet, Elias will have been in Chataya for about a year. He knows the city well enough but is discovering new aspects of it all the time.

I don't recall Sabretooth having retractable claws.

In Origins (I think) there's at least one shot of his fingernails growing noticably, if only by an inch or so. I wouldn't bet on it's canonicity, though.

His fingers grow in X Men 1 I'm sure.

If it helps Iprophet I'm in a exactly the same boat, and it's been about 5 months so far. Just stay positive and something will come along Smiley I'll finalise up my character details tonight, and I'm ready to go.

Game of Thrones also got a new "Iron Throne" trailer.

"Winter is coming." I CANNOT wait for this. The cast they've assembled will do this proud. And the fact that I regularly serve Robert Barathon - http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0004692/ a pint is always nice!

17 peeps for me (though I live in the UK)
  • There are 5,184,575 people in the U.S. with the first name James.
  • Statistically the 1st most popular first name.
  • 99.7 percent of people with the first name James are male.

  • There are 1,022 people in the U.S. with the last name Lorimer.
  • Statistically the 26035th most popular last name.

Considering I have the statistically most popular first name  in the US, I think it's quite incredible that I end up with such a overall low number. I reckon that this is because my surname has been Americanised in the hop across the pond to such derivatives as "Lorrimer" and "Lorimar" (of which there is a TV production company).

Oh, and I'm also a Canadian publisher!

Elizabeth Hurley has apparantly just tweeted that she'll be playing Veronica Cale, the chief villain from the Wonder Woman pilot

Watch out for some great "acting" then!

The D&D environment books were pretty good products IMO. Ridiculously wordy sometimes, but the tools under the verbage aren't bad. I'm probably gonna use "dessication damage" from the book also.

Yeah I thought they were a great inclusion to the D&D world. The themes they concentrated on were good fantasy standards, the rules were simple enough for the environmental factors, and for once the monsters seemed like they would actually be found in that environment not just a game designer's drawing board.

Thanks for the work on this!

@foproy - Under abilities you seem to have listed the class abilities for the Assassin not the Scout that you list your character is at the beginning? Is the top of the page entry merely a mistake?

The new Skyrim trailer is so epic you'll need a new pair of pants afterwards.

O. M. G. - Right that's my game of the year sorted then!

Ok, here's my rough character draft - hope you like! There's still things to be added and tweaked but it's a start.

Elias Kant
Unpredictable Human Gunmage
Mage 4 / Rune Knight 1

I take it we start with the standard 500s, and can we spend Reputation to buy prizes or renown?

The Rune Knight's Rune-Carved ability - once learned does the RK know all of those runes, and thus can choose to apply different ones to different weapons, or do you pick 2 at 1st level, 2 more at 5th etc?

Also, is there any more info on the setting just to flesh out things like interests, studies, languages etc?
