Yes, I must admit because of the inherent versatility of the FC system, trying to force in a prestige class seems redundent; whereas you could merely state that a particular combination of feats and existing classes is the FR equivalent.
As Pawsplay states, you could be considered an Arcane Archer, once you have 6 spell points, a level in Rune Knight and Bow Basics. The only reason to create an equivalent expert class, would be to further specialise the character's role.

If you want to reward players for playing to a region's type, how about making an inverse iconic specialty? 'If you are from region X and your origin contains at least one of the following talents and specialties , you gain Y', where Y is a 1-point talent/specialty benefit. Things like a couple extra languages, a specific trick or an additional origin skill wouldn't make the character overly better than one who goes against the norm, but it helps give a feeling of group identity, I think. I think this is a great idea - but don't know if it would unbalance the builds or not; I doubt it if it was only a 1 point benefit. As you suggested as well, perhaps having regional feats as well to allow players to further follow a ethnic archetype would keep things more balanced. Personally I never really like the bonus equipment section for FR, so perhaps we could come up with a more Crafty solution to fit the setting.

It seems as this has been said a little before but I'm just adding my two penneth's worth, to the melting pot.
In FR, picking your ethnicity rarely restricted your choices of class, feats etc. You could just as easily play a Chondathan Archer as a Chondathan Sorceror. Further to that, mechanically a Chondathan Sorceror and an Illuskan Sorceror were virtually indistinguishable. The whole point of the regional feat system was to allow variation, by introducing a choice of feats only available to certain ethnicities.
As it stands Arioch, the way you are proposing to do the FR ethnicities, limits players along the regions they pick. Any character should be allowed any combination, and feats should define them further IMO.

Wow lots of quick replies on Xmas day.
I agree with what has been said here, you only really need to revise the crunch and leave all the lovely fluff that has been written alone.
@Arioch - That being said I'd be more than happy to help work through the list of stuff you mentioned to get down a set of rules for each bit. Preferably with some of the good and knowledgeable folks on here.
I do think starting with character options (regions, feats and classes) and working from there would be a good start.

A perfect Christmas here in the north of England (best part of the world in this Yorkshireman's opinion!)
Bloody northerners... And no, i'm not a southerner! I take that Sir and wear it as a badge of pride! To slightly mis-quote Cecil Rhodes - "To be born a Yorkshireman is to win first place in the lottery of life." Merry Christmas to thee.

A perfect Christmas here in the north of England (best part of the world in this Yorkshireman's opinion!) - just enough snow to get that festive, seasonal feel without causing any problems (unlike the rest of the country); and with my mother's Christmas turkey dinner, what more can a chap ask for!
Merry Christmas all and stay Crafty.

Interesting concept, I must admit!
I had a thought to follow Mr Anderson's suggestion, perhaps you could make each one of the outer circles of the Biohazard symbol reflect the style and theme of each shard.. ghostly for Cromlech, towers for Fastness
Just a thought!

Saw Star Trek last night... again thanks to a nice staff screening.
Words cannot discribe how happy I am that this movie (IMHO) hit the nail on the head and delivered the goods.. IT'S AWESOME! JJ Abrams you got something right.

English, Arabic, some Farsi, passable modern Hebrew, and conversational French, German and Spainish!
If it makes you feel any better Glimmer, I'm the only one of my friends that I know that speaks multi-lingually. We here in the UK aren't exactly known for our great language skills. The stereotype of us just shouting louder and more slowly had to come from somewhere right!
And the worst one to learn out of all those - German. It just didn't stick!

Just got through seeing it myself - and for free (the joys of working in a cinema).
I'm a big fan of Wolverine (the character) and enjoyed all the X-men films, and....
Well i wasn't blown away, but that being said I wasn't expecting to be.. I enjoyed the back story, the quips and the action even if they weren't breaking the mould. It overall pretty good.. the only downer (a bit like X3) was cramming in too many characters with pretty much nothing to do. However go see it.. and rememeber your RRAAAARRRRRRRRRRRR!

If I have a door hidden behind a tapestry on the wall.. what's the opposed skill check: Notice vs Sneak/Stash Item? And if so then who "rolls" for the door.. surely it's just a fixed DC?

Thanks for all the helpful comments.. I ended up doing it like this. The inital damage save is done using the vehicles overall modifer and then if that fails then any effects that use a damage save modifer afterwards use the areas modifer (if appropriate).
So in the case of shooting through the windscreen at the occupant.. the drivers damage is reduced by much less in the case of a good hit.
Seemed like a good compromise to me.
