I hear you on the movie like feel to the book. I'm pretty sure that anime features pretty heavily into Sanderson's influences in this book and the Mistborn series in general. As for the ending. he closed out the main plot and obviously left us wanting more...but I'm not madat it.

Unless something has changed, crafty generally uses only two terms when referring to skills. Skill rank, which is the amount of raw skill points used for the skill, and skill bonus which is skill rank plus everything else (attribute, insight, gear, magic,etc...). If they mean you to exclude any modifiers they'll call it out specifically.

I forgot DP9... Heavy Gear is well done and Gear Krieg is fun. Core Command was different and massively high powered. My favorite though,(likely because of my Mekton history) is Jovian Chronicles. Their old almost supernatural supplements for Cyberpunk 2020 are worth finding too. Jovian Chronicles? Jovian ChroniclesFrom a company based out of my old stomping grounds in Montreal. Eminently customizeable vehicle system.

The characters are the main strength of this movie, so if in that sense the film is close to reality...your classroom must be an interesting place indeed. I'm torn between saluting or pitying you, lol.

yep, not sure what happened with that post... Toronto is the only city in North American that is showing it on more than 1 screen. It's a fantastic first outing by the director. Attack the Block deserves to do well.

I 'lug' around my Playbook instead of a bookbag now. All my Crafty book PDF's render in the native adobe reader. Only issue is that there is no search functionality yet enabled in the Playbook tablet version of Adobe reader. So far it has been a great experience.
