I am running a campaign that initially started in Freeport, using Green Ronin's systemless Freeport book. I wrote up much of my own stuff, but also converted stuff from my d20 and pathfinder stuff, including:
- The adventure "Four and Twenty Blackbirds" from the Swashbuckling Adventures book Rapier's Edge
- The adventure "The Indomitable Fire Forest of Innenotdar" for EN Publishing's War of the Burning Sky adventure path
- The pathfinder Serpent Skull adventure path (which we are about to start the last book for)

Shoot, I forgot the spider centaurs. But I also need to find a place to fit Cthulhu. I may end up ditching the case.

Reaper kickstarter just cleared another goal... 4 more undead minis.

And some of the options are looking pretty sweet. I'm digging the look of the giants.

3) Aligned damage is tucked in other places. See the Outsider type in the foes chapter, and the spells protection from alignment. Other classes, feats, and spells may also impact it.

I played Fantasy Craft Thursday morning. The guy who played Git was cracking me up with his prognostications of (as he spoke it) dooooooom!

Also ran some rockin' off-grid Fantasy Craft and Spycraft games. Sadly, the game with Tracker7 & co fell through, and I got sick before I could run the finale of the FC game with Wolverine.

Giving this a bump as we're less than two weeks from the big weekend.

If you're worried about picking up a Will Call badge or tickets before Thursday morning, they have announced that the Will Call desk will be open all night long to avoid a repeat of last year's Queuemageddon.

Wolverine,

How can I contact you? I know I'll be at the embassy, but don't know room number yet. If you have an email you could credibly be able to check while in the states, or a twitter or facebook account, I could hit you up.

Wait, it has Rachel Weisz? (Adds to list of "must sees" Wink

Yep. I expected to be mixing her up with "Evie" in my head the whole time, but the near total absence of a British accent helped correct that expectation.

Anyone else see Bourne Legacy?

I thought it was pretty decent, with one fundamental problem: it spends too long justifying its own existence.

The movie notionally starts concurrently with the events of the Bourne Ultimatum, and takes many of its stylistic cues from that movie. It creates a new mythology in which Treadstone is just one of several related super-assassin project. The protagonist, Aaron Cross, is one of a handful (I think 9) operatives of a project called Outcome, and is spurred into action when the director of Outcome decides to shut down the project "with extreme prejudice", including all operatives and scientists in the know.

It's an interesting mythology. But it takes way to long to set up and leaves too little time for action. Discounting a little scene in which Cross sets up a wolf to take the fall for him, it takes one hour for the first punch to fly.

Fortunately, once the action starts, it gets pretty good. There was as scene that started out looking like the foot chase/fight in The Bourne Ultimatum (one of the best in film afaiac), but turns into one of the most riveting motorized chase scenes i have seen in a while.

Here's a cool site I wanted to use for a fantasy city someday, a city based on a plug/pillar in an extinct volcanic crater:

After looking at the bonuses that these particular NPCs do, they pretty much are pushovers. One or two hits on average from the soldier will kill them, and the burglar and sage aren't that bad of warriors either, not to mention an actual tiger. Thing to remember is this isn't D&D, even the wizard can be an effective combatant without spells.

Yeah, that would be pretty easy pickings for most of my PCs.

I did have a problem challenging my PCs. The nice thing about the system is you could tune them to suit your challenge levels.

For a while, I was throwing on Tough levels a lot, but that got a bit tiresome. More recently the one standard NPC that has been giving my PC fits is a serpent folk warrior (converted from pathfinder serpent skull adventure path) with armor, a flail, flail basics, and ferocity. Double the initial hit stacks up subdual damage quickly, and defenses make them so they are not usually one shots. And if they get taken down, they are usually guaranteed to put some damage on the PCs.

Would anyone be interested in setting up an off-grid game Friday night?

I am running Spycraft 2.0 on Friday night (in addition to Saturday night). The Friday night session was full, but news has it that one of the players might not make it, so there may be an opening.

I converted the adventure "Four and Twenty Blackbirds" to run as an FC adventure for my Freeport game. It was a blast... fantastic adventure!
