Cross posting here, my phoneline/broadband has gone down at home, so I'm very limited in 'net time and I've been ill, so apologies for scatty posting over the last few days. Hopefully I'll be up and running in a day or two... And next week I'll be able to kick up my character notch as I get some free time back (or at least that's the theory).

Thought I'd best post this here, but I've been ill for a couple of days and unable to concentrate on the computer (made me feel sick looking at the screen) and now my internet/phone line is down. So apologies for being away, hopefully I'll be back in action in the next couple of days.

I'm pretty sure Spellbound isn't open for LSpy anyway, since this query was for an LSpy character. There's been reference to it being in another book (WoF?) but it's not out yet.

I could see... Blockbuster - Magical effects and explosions are common in the faerie, but never seem to have the same effects as the "real" world. Omni-Competent - Within the realms of Faerie you find yourselves capable of things you wouldn't dream possible Mellow - Because you expect wierd stuff to happen in Faerie. Spirited - Because Faerie amplifies heroism (or villainy) Tense - Because you never know what's going to happen within Faerie Wire-Fu - What you thought the laws of physics applied here?
Obviously Tense & Mellow are opposites, I'd probably use Tense if it's a very rare occasion and the characters and thusly the characters aren't prepared and Mellow if it's fairly commonplace.

Depends on the specifics of the problem player. Generally (in extreme cases) everyone gets annoyed with the game, leaves and eventually the group reforms a month or two later minus the problem player - it's happened a couple of times in groups I've been in.

"Okay, I'll keep you updated"
Synth pushes her meal to one side and flips open her laptop firing up several newsgroups, tech sites, IM clients and search windows. OOC1: I assume that you're doing all rolls for us, so it doesn't clutter up the thread, otherwise let me know and I'll fire up Invisible Castle or whatever roller you prefer. OOC2: I also assume that the actions of both threads are somewhat asynchronous as I'm involved in both. OOC3: On the other hand, we could possibly rig it to go bang the first time it's powered up and claim it was rigged for security - done right it'll look okay for a cursory examination before-hand and by the time it's checked out thoroughly it'll be a smoking wreck. Done wrongly it would be very dangerous considering the people involved.

Quick version - Remove Hacker & Snoop, Remove the Electronics gear catagory (any classes with E picks can be switched to something else, probably G) any electronics that you feel could be available can switch to G. Strip out any gear that shouldn't be available (once Electronics table is removed, it's just removing some weapons, armour and vehicles I think).

"If I can find enough info about it and have enough time, I might be able to mock something up though it sounds to me like it's a full on hardware job, not a software program - I'll have to see what I can get on it. We can probably just hire a 3rd party to go in and shoot some stuff up... though that might come up with problems later if we decide we do need it." The emphasis is quite deliberately stressing that we do need it.

"That sort of Tech's going to be well protected, even if only a demo model - Stealing it from the show-room's too big a risk for us at the moment. Besides I'd like to get into the production facility, plans and blueprints for it may be more valuable than the machine itself, at least in the long term." Anything else I can help with?"
Assuming there is nothing else Swain has in mind Synth gets to checking the net, a machine like that's going to cause ripples in the tech community - she should at least be able to find something about it.
