I have a question, are all the mechanics from the various Call to Arms books? I've held off on buying the pdf's since I much prefer the hard copy books and hate buying material I already have.

Products / Spycraft 2.0 / Re: Large Cities

Generally when I build a city from scratch I model it after a city that has similar traits to what I have in mind. Sometimes I may even just take a city and re name it.
Otherwise like others I only build what I need as I need it. It's an easy matter to jot down in my GM notes what I'm adding and where.
I think the biggest things to keep in mind is
A. Is it a coastal or land locked city? B. Are there any nearby geographic features of importance (IE large rivers, mountains, surrounded by lakes etc etc) C. Where is the closest power plant. And of course what kind of power is it providing. D. Does it have any local tourist attractions. Knowing ahead of time if it has things like a major theme park or something that attracts a lot of out of towners is always useful E. Design at least one mall. No matter what people always seem to go to the mall at least once. And having a mall prepared ahead of time is just one less thing to worry about. F. Does it have it's own airport? G. Does it have other major forms of transporation (IE subways, trains etc etc) H. Is it city on the rise or suffering urban decay
That's generally where I start and then I build from there what I need as I need it.

I've seen mention of this in the Mastercraft announcement and on the Wiki. Being that sci fi is one of my favorite genre's I was curious if there was any word on it's development.

I like the idea of it as an option but not for the core. But a future supplement that covers Psionics for the Mastercarft system in general would be awesome. Because you know .... psychic crime drama with 10KB may be fun

What I think I meant was how do you determine what level of spells you can cast. From what I can tell Caster level doesn't determine that. The Circle of Power ability that Mages get does. So I'm a bit confused on how it all works.

I've recently gotten a copy of Fantasy Craft. Ive been reading through it and the NPC creation rules. But I think I'm missing something as I don't see where it states how to calculate Caster level for an NPC. So how exactly does one build an evil wizard or priest. I think I'm missing a section or two.

With True Grit only two weeks away am I the only one hoping to be able to do a western game with the Mastercraft system? Or hope beyond hope that a western game would one day be in the works?

Products / Fantasy Craft / How does Fantasy Craft Compare to Other Games

As I hype myself up for Spycraft and 10K Bullets I've started looking at Fantasy Craft as a possible game to buy to get me more familiar with the rule changes for both games. But my question is how does FC stand up to games like D&D (3.5 and 4th) and Pathfinder. I know both of those are pretty big games at the moment and so I'm curious of the differences and the strengths and weakness of FC compared to the other big fantasy games.
