So, something cyberpunk themed, given the clear Shadowrun reference?  That doesn't narrow it down much, unfortunately.

Finally saw the movie for the first time today, and DAMN.  That's a lot of movie, and it never really lets up.  I'd say it's now probably my second favorite movie in recollection, though things start to get a little fuzzy up there at the top.  Little too tired to go into detail at the moment, but that's what tomorrow's for.

Tangentially, apart from the cop who betrayed him, who were the other 4 people that Two Face killed?

The Italian mob boss, said mafioso's driver, and the cop that drove Dent to the bomb site are the three that come to mind.  I don't remember the other two.

Well how the heck did I miss that?  Thanks, Azi.

Overall, I liked the movie, with one notable exception...

Does anybody still have a copy of the Chrome-based cybernetics stuff from the old forums?  It's not on the wiki and doesn't seem to survived the transition to the new site.  I remember there was at least one Origin option and a few feats, but I can't remember the details.  Thanks.

Tangenting back to an earlier comment:

Actually I've run into a stereotype/presumption I thought was pretty funny. I'm on a diet. I've watched(, fought,) and controlled my weight carefully for about a year and a half now. I was gaming online and mentioned in a broadcast channel that my character eats better than I do because I am on a diet.

The instantaneous presumption from everyone was that I was a female player. I even got a few "amen, sister!"

Apparently guys don't diet. Or so the stereotype goes.

Good for you, Morg.  I've been beating back my weight for the last two years myself, and I know just how hard it is.  Fortunately, the results have been worth it for me, and hopefully for you as well.

All the USA network shows are basically in the same verse but almost never interact. I'd love to see Pysch show up on Criminal Intent and face off with Goren.

Or Monk.  Talk about a neurosis-fest.  Smiley

Being John Malkovich.  There isn't a single likable character in the entire frakking movie.

What else has she been in?  She looks familiar, but I can't place the name.

Personally, I'm liking the new version.

Actually, the bit Psion describes sounds fine - nothing is actually shown. I watched half an hour of panels and a bunch of scenes from the movie at Comic-Con last year and the only thing I remember is the vomit. It just kills humor dead for me.

Oh.  That.  Yeah, I forgot about that bit.  Fortunately, it was easy to push from my memory, as it was only about five seconds long.  It could definitely have been done without, but didn't kill the movie for me.  YMMV.

I just saw it, and personally I really liked it.  I only remember one bit that could be classified as potty humor, and it's pretty low-key.  Most of it is solid Steve Carrell humor, which I like.  Of course, Agent 99 certainly didn't hurt things...

Definitely not synonymous.  It's entirely possible to have a mission without an Intel phase, given the circumstances of the mission.  It's also quite possible to have an Intel phase that isn't at the beginning of the mission.  See, for example, the Field Analyst's gamebreaker ability.
15  Products / Fantasy Craft / Re: [Mastercraft] Doing more with fewer pages on: June 19, 2008, 04:37:44 AM
Initially I was leery about this because one of the absolute best features of Crafty's products, in my opinion, is the incredible modularity of all of the rule options.
I was kind of worried, because it started feeling like it might end up like D&D vs. D20 Modern where things that are ostensibly based on the same system require large quantities of work just to convert things like spells or monsters that D20 Modern supports (but only if you do the legwork yourself).

That's largely what I'm worried about as well.  I just know, without a doubt, that my players are going to want to use the new feat versions in the existing SC2 system.  I'm picturing the thought of merging them, compulsively going through each one to make sure the right rulesets are being represented without stepping on any toes.  *shudder*

For now, though, I'm going to reserve judgment.  Yeah I have my concerns, but you guys have done such good work in the past that I'd be remiss if I didn't at least give you the benefit of the doubt.  I'll almost certainly be getting FantasyCraft regardless, but I'm praying that I don't have to synchronize things by hand.  Just because I have a license to improvise doesn't necessarily mean I want to have to use it.
