Technically grayscale, but yes. Apparently, unholy pacts made it possible to print in color for the AEG edition way back when (pretty much every review mentions that the book is a steal at its original price point), but these days color is not in the cards for a book of that size at any reasonable price point.

Blogspot LivejournalThis chapter brings you the sounds of Genesis - Invisible Touch. She seems to have an invisible touch, yeah! She reaches in, and grabs right hold of your heart She seems to have an invisible touch, yeah! It takes control and slowly tears you apartWe'd all like to forget Saturday Night Fever, I think. I have no idea if rice + beans with banana would actually yield an edible dish, but I challenge my readers to cook it and report back. Remember, if it's disgusting, you're doing it wrong! Um, yeah, that last sentence also applies to what comes after that. Some people don't need to get drunk for that. Like any decent movie, I remain solely focussed on the hyperviolence and graciously fade to black for the hot lovin' scenes. I do hope you appreciate that. Comments! Gatac

Evidently, that saying covers both the theme of the product and the quality level. Got it, love it. It does get a bit repetitive (This trick lets you use the Wisdom modifier, this trick lets you use the Charisma modifier...), but there's still a hell of a lot of neat stuff in there. Okay, trying to cut down on the gushing praise a bit...it's pretty interesting to see the differences between the stuff you teased us with and the final versions. The "Master" feats in particular are very nice - +5 base damage for my sword? You guys are my kind of nuts. Gatac

Caught the Prison Break premiere. Honestly, it's not that strong. They're shaking up the cast a lot, and the new scenario is even more farfetched than the initial breakout. Also, now that everything has moved beyond Michael Scofield's plans, it seems they've lost the big "I spent six months planning this adventure" aspect. Also, it seems like the old villains are the new friends (in a manner of speaking), and the new villains just don't look that scary.
I'm sure it'll get better once we're firmly back in the saddle and ready to care about everyone again, but it's definately the weakest season premiere of the three Prison Break has had.

1) Since the Garotte is a Blunt melee weapon, that would be the right proficiency to have as prerequisite.
2) Honestly not sure. The E/T increases of NKL weapons usually apply to normal attacks.
3) The +2 Threat Range applies only to Grapple actions, not normal attacks. (Then again, why you would want to do a standard attack with a garotte is beyond me.)
4) As far as I can tell, you'd get that +2 even with an improvised garotte. I don't see anything in the Improvised Weapon text that hints at penalties beyond what is applied for using an improvised weapon in general.
5) I don't know for sure, but I'm reasonably sure it'll be in World on Fire. It's been hinted repeatedly that it'll have the Melee "Mastery" and "Supremacy" feats, and I see no reason why the garotte feats wouldn't be there.

By popular request: Blogspot LivejournalIt's Motorhead - Ace of Spades! Pushing up the ante, I know you wanna see me, Read 'em and weep, the dead man's hand again, I see it in your eyes, take one look and die, The only thing you see, you know it's gonna be, The Ace Of SpadesThey don't ever die quiet, do they? The archetypical hand grenade comes with a few seconds worth of timer. Exaggerated for effect, but none of them were cooked, so I figure it's borderline squint-hard-and-tilt-your-head semi-plausible. (And that's all I ask.) Tap-Rack-Bang! is a nice little mnemonic on how to fix a misfire in a handgun - tap the magazine from below, rack the slide to feed the next round and then fire. This is, in fact, the first time Mark handles a broadsword. Of course he uses it like a big knife. I do not recommend this way to drain a swimming pool, but shotguns will fire underwater. Pretty much anything fires underwater, some guns even more than once. It was in fact my intention to kill Silvestro in his first actual scene. More of an abstract objective than a character, but eh, there's more where that came from. *sings* Iiiiiiiiii want com-ments! (Dum de dum de dum, dum dum!) Iiiiiiiiii want com-ments! Gatac

Arsenal has a split second to make up his mind, then runs, skips through the window and jumps for it. His trenchcoat flares up like the wings of a bat while his various holsters, straps and bandoliers clearly show themselves. He aims for a nearby pile of trash and crashes into it. Now he's less than fresh, but it stopped his fall without too much pain.
He picks himself up and starts sprinting after the perp.
