I have a question related to this topic but it concerns the "Ground Zero" clause. Since "everything and everyone at Ground Zero suffers the blasts full damage." Does that mean that people hit directly by a bomb do not get saves for half damage but the targets in the surrounding AOE do?

Ok, cool. That's kind of how it figured it would work out with the companion feats. Just wanted to be certain I wasn't missing anything too obvious...
I had one other question that does sort of pertain to Animal Partner at least. The Cavalier specialty gets Favored Gear (mount). How exactly does that work? I would guess that the Favored Gear part could apply to the Animal Partner (maaaaybe even Personal Lieutenant, I guess?), especially since Cavalier and Lancer go hand in hand pretty well. I can see the action die boost part working out, boosting attacks using the mounts natural weapons or for making ride checks. Or even when spending action die on the mounts behalf even when not mounted. But how would the 'item can't be destroyed with a critical miss or failure' work out?
It means the GM can't say that you screwed up your Ride check so badly your horse trips and breaks it's neck. Which doesn't matter sincce an animal partner isn't gear and that feat has no effect. Change it to Charging Basics if you want. Alright, fair enough. Thanks for the help everyone!

I had some questions regarding a few of the feats in FC.
1. With the companion feats such as Personal Lieutenant and Animal Partner can you use the xp from the feats to give your partner more types? I.e. Could someone take animal partner and use 5xp to have the mount be a construct as well as an animal (like a clockwork horse for example)?
2. With the Pathfinder feat chain do the benefits of Mastery and Supremacy effect ALL Pathfinder basics feats you have?

I finished reading the Parasol Protectorate couple months ago, just picked this the latest book recently. Have to finish the current book first before I read it. I heard rumors that she is going to be starting another series as well, one that takes place after the Parasol Protectorate.

If you like Diablo-style games, you should check out Path of Exile. It's free to download and play, and the only microtransactions available are for purely cosmetic options. I tried out it out this afternoon and it's pretty good. The 'Skill Web' thing is different and supplies you with passive bonuses bast on the class you chose. The gem's grant you your special attacks (fireball, arrow volley, etc.) as well as other bonuses. The gems also level up with you, gaining bigger bonuses and such. There might be more to it all, I don't know what the 'linked' slots actually do yet. I have only got a Marauder to level 10 and a Witch to level 2 or 3. EDIT: It should also be added that the game is in Open Beta, this isn't the final release. Not sure how long the Open Beta will go one for. EDIT #2: Ok... I guess the Open Beta is basically the final release. There will be no more character wipes or resets after this. The game is basically out.

Hmmm... I think these might actually be for a new adventure (or set of adventures). Earlier in the month one of the Crafty folks posted on their Facebook page about working on an 'upcoming Fantasy Craft adventure' they mentioned 'finding applications for all those Detect spells in the new book'. Maybe they are adventures set in one of the settings from the Adventure companion? Maybe, one for each setting even?
...is it Tuesday yet?

Products / Fantasy Craft / Temporary Attribute Bonuses, Impairment, and Shenanigans

Some more questions were raised during game last night after the party Mage decided to pick up Ray of Enfeeblement.
1. Do multiple castings of Ray of Enfeeblement on the same target stack? It didn't actually come up in play but we looked up Impairment in the book and it didn't mention anything about stacking, but reading did raise another question.
2. Under Impairment it mentions that temporary changes to attributes do not have any effect on vitality, wounds, skill points, known spells, and Lifestyle. Is this just Impairment or is this bonuses as well? Would Constitution bonuses from the Brawn I-IV spells affect the targets wounds or Vitality? How about the Con bonus from the Berserk Stance?

Products / Fantasy Craft / Negative Wounds and Healing Vitality

A situation came up in a game last night that I am running. A character was knocked into negative wounds and was given a vitality potion. This raised two questions, 1) would this stabalize him and 2) would he also regain consciousness. A quick perusal through the book and we didn't find anything.
I ruled that it stabalized him and he regained what vitality the potion provided but he did not gain consciousness as stabilizing doesn't normally cause you to wake up (either by getting lucky or with the medicine skill). But, you also don't regain vitality with either of those.
