Richard, is probably best described as an Explorer/Mage/War Wizard/Captain Cara is a Bodyguard Explorer, or Richards PL, depending on how you want to slice it. Kahalan is a Courtier/Captain Zedd is a Straight up Mage, possibly a Seer.
For the Sword of Truth/Legend of the Seeker, the big thing is more that there aren't proper origins or feats to represent the Confessors powers, or the way magic works.
But For classes, from what I remember of the books, the ones I tossed up are probably pretty close.

With the Guts, Hidden Promise, and Quick Healer feats, was this done specifically so humans could have Species feats to gain as bonuses, or were there feats categorized in this way for some other reason?
Of the available trees, Species is the best fit for them. It is kind of nice that a paladin doesn't have to become angelic, devilish, elemental, etc. Feature, or happy accident? The Paladin gains a Heritage feat, not any species feat. Demonic, Angelic, Draconic, Elemental, or fey.

depending on your build, yes, that -2 action dice is a bear. I of course, honestly can say, I don't mind it, as even with less action dice fuled mojo, an elven Soldier/Edgemaster/Gallant is awesome  Check out the thread, playing against type. AS it deals with pretty much this very topic!

Kel would give what could best be described as a warm smile, though naturally it twinkled with the low grade gems of his teeth, he restrained his impulse to launch into a discourse about how smoke could make gems, and instead settles for "smoke does nothing for me at all, I am fueled by will and creation"
Kel notes the new comer and her appearance, searching his memory for some hint of who she might be or where she might be from, and comes up blank, though her actions speak to him of temptress and seduction, luckily, he has no prince to warn, and settles back to enjoy the company of any and all who show up, thinking that the variety will be good for his learnings.

Kel`arIn attempt to fit in, Kel moves deliberately toward a seat at one of the tables, and sits down, following the lively discussions, but not sure enough of himself to join in just yet, trying to get a feel for everyone in the room, and how they might relate in some way to his ever Kel is generally always 'armed' in the sense that he has his armor built in, its covered by his cloak, and generally he has his doctors bag close at hand, but his other goods, particularly his other medical supplies, aren't with him right now

Kel woukld launch into a lenghty discourse if prompted. Medical practice being one of his interests. He is otherwise a bit shy, as being a 7 foot tall walking gem mine tends to attract the wrong kins of attention. Of course the only thing of real value are his eyes.

Kel`ar stands quietly off to one side, not wanting to attract undue attentions, merely observing life in the tavern, his unblinking diamond eyes taking in all that he can, he waits with zen like patience, politely refusing service from the barmaid, though as he has learned, he does compliment her each time she asks if he would like anything to drink or eat, trying to not seem to forward, or to off putting.

Hmm, that complicates things slightly however the language of Squeeze leads me to believe that the 1d3 ect damage is the standard unarmed damage for use with piledriver. I also believe that there isn't any issue with applying the various unarmed attack tricks to your natural attacks, fer example Trample with a guillotine kick, or clothesline.
So perhaps you can use your natural attack damage, from claw bite or what have oyu with piledriver, just not trample specifically, or swallow either, for similar reasons (they prompt a different attack than a "standard attack check"

Trample, is a trick, Natural Attacks aren't unarmed attacks so they don't count as unarmed in this instance of the word... As for the rules for what your standard unarmed damage is, its on page 206.

Another question if I may? When the wrestling supremacy feat says that with the piledriver Unarmed trip trick you can "Inflict double your unarmed damage", does that refer to any source of unarmed damage? Could a giant use it's trample damage (as trample is a full round unarmed attack), or could a Drake use it's claw damage?

Its your standard unarmed damage, so, 1d3, 1d4, 1d6, or 1d10, depending on if you have the martial arts feat, or the masters art feat, times 3
