While Eloise acknowledges that some roughing up may be necessary she will try to intervene should she hear blades drawn or more violence than some mere roughing up.

Eloise waits outside, listening at the door, another person isn't going to help any more, and she doesn't like the idea of inflicting physical violence on anyone, except when necessary in the heat of combat.

Still she forces herself to listen in.

Once we've allocated toys I could do with gearing up, since it looks like we're soon to on the offensive I think it's time I picked up a bow.

Also in a supreme d'oh for character builds I've realised I don't have the strength minimum to pick up 'Deceiving Strike etc), looks like my lvl 4 increase will end up being Str.

Eloise will stay with Teo until she's sure he's recovered, trying to not make him feel self-conscious but blending into the background was never one of her strong points. Unless one of the more roguish types want to apply their knowledge she'll take a look at the ring and the gems, try and get a general idea of how much they're worth.

Afterwards Eloise spends some time studying the journal found, and is somewhat... disturbed by it's contents, nonetheless it confirms their suspicions about a further attack and our suspicions about the Thistletop Goblins being the ones involved, though at the behest of another. It does also mention the tunnels, and things coming out of them - this may be of a higher priority.

Eloise will do some digging around town, find out about the old priest who's body was taken, if he ever had a wife or daughter (or any other family she could talk to). Of course she'll go and see what Weoxgyld has to say - as it should be interesting.

My first thought would be to disallow the mage class altogether and use priests as the only Magic User class. Then just tweak paths to fit.

Eloise will head after the others once Tsuto is stabilized and doesn't seem like he's going to spring back into action any time soon.
On seeing the condition of the others she'll get to work patching folks back up. On seeing Teo, she'll take a look and see what she can do about him.

First up Charming probably shouldn't apply, as if the character is a "baddie" then he should qualify as an adversary, even if not in direct conflict at the time (assuming a default heroic campaign of course).

Also as per p373 a character's disposition may not change more than 1 grade during the same scene, so the cultist would have had to be friendly to begin with?

Alternatively develop other things a bit more with other relationships, presumably the npc is also at least Supportive of the cult leader, there's nothing that I can read that means that they would do anything to endanger another friend, even in the persuade description there's a caveat about endangering another life.

The spell no longer matters once the creature is killed. Yes it's expensive, but sometimes you need a creature there permanently.

I was going to suggest that you can usually gear up to tone down weaknesses, with various armour upgrades or options for avoiding the situation.

If I can't beat 15 on any of 6 rolls with a +6 bonus the dice gods truly show disfavour.

1d20+6=8, 1d20+6=22, 1d20+6=12, 1d20+6=18, 1d20+6=26, 1d20+6=22

Nope, second roll hits it.

Not trying to actually revive him, just keep him alive.

Traceless or Anonymity Basics would be fairly thematic oddities to add.
Glint of Madness could highlight the otherworldlyness or be represented as unconscious illusion around him.
Any of the chance feats could fit in with the Astral/predictive nature of the class I'd be most inclined by 'Fortune favours the bold' or 'Lady Luck's Smile'
12  Community / Play-by-Post / Re: Advice for Running PbP on: March 26, 2011, 12:46:13 PM
How about pregen. characters would this stifle recruiting? What if the names, gender and appearance was left for the players to fill in?

An observation: The pbp games I have seen seem more tightly scripted than a table top needs to be. In table top I can provide a nicely detailed area and kick start quest then allow the PC's to live in the world responding to current events and pursueing thier own goals. In pbp plots seem to be simpler than this.

Issue there is that discussing what everyone wants to do will take half an hour at the table (though to be honest I've had 2 hours of discussion before when things were left too open). Multiply that by the extended timing issue for pbp and you end up never actually doing anything.

Eloise steps into Shyla's way, "Be at peace Shyla, why don't you go find some goblins to fight?"

Should Shyla retreat, Eloise will tend to Tsuto's wounds, and try and get him stabilised.

Don't worry about it, it's just game.

I have to agree - whilst climbing is something they will normally be good at - it's not really an iconic ability.
