Actually, per the Dresden universe, a Mage would adversely affect the steam engine. A few times it is commented that Mages affect "modern" equipment and that definition changes. Harry could make a phone call on a land line, but not a cell phone. He could drive a VW Beetle, but gave more modern cars fits. So I would think that such contraptions would have at least some issues until it was no longer "new".

Really appreciate the answers. I am hoping to play a Drake and need to understand flight better.
Does take off/landing take a seperate action? From what I understand, a Drake could take off to a height of 10' and then move 30' forward as a move action. Ending 30' from starting point and 10', still in range of bite

Does one need to move every round or risk stalling? Can you move to a ground target and attack without landing?

Could someone direct Me to the flying rules? I can not find any. I wish to know about combat while flying, strafing/attacking ground targets, stall speed etc.

One thing I have noticed is that while a bow gives good AP, it still does 1d6. So congratulations You ignore My armor and I get a booboo. :p
I agree on katanas, they were NOT amor defeaters.
As for plate getting heavier in responce to bow. That iis because the bows were penetrating and heavier armor was still feasible.
Articulate Plate withe Heavy Fittings is DR 7 Blunt Res 2. Add in Reinforced and Fitted and it has Edge Res 2 and is easier to move in. That will stop ALOT of weapons and reduce the rest.
An Archer with Bow Basics and a Long Bow will have AP4 and do 1d6+2 Damage. So with a max damage of 8, 3 are stopped by the armors DR and 2 by the edge res which means a whopping 3 points get through. Sounds damn good to Me

After reading the rules I noticed that bow and crossbows do damage based on the arrow/bolt type. So a little 30lb pull self bow does the same as a 120lb pul long bow? This seems wrong to me. A hand crossbow will do MUCH less damage than an arbalest. Am I the only one who feel this way?

You'll note that drakes can't take the feat in the first place (ok, they technically get it with the Dragon Lord Master class, but that's another issue)

I am still fiddling with Drakes when I looked at this feat. Draconic Legacy does not give much to a Drake, or does that breath add something? It can give up to three things to a non-Drake but a Drake gets but one. Shouldn't there be a better balance?

Still more questions!
Gear. I know Drake armour needs to be bigger but does it need the Drake quality? What about Weapons? Does a Drakes use larger weapons and if so how dows that change its stats?

'nother questions.
If I made a Drtake Soldier and it had Draconic Heritage. how does the Soldiers ability Fortunes of Ward Dr1 (2 in Dramatic Scenes) interact with tough hide 3?

Question on Martial Artist. Do You need to satisfy the prereqs for the feat Martial Arts?
Do I understand Grapple correct in that to START a grapple the smaller gets +2 but to continue the LARGER gets +2?
